The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[ kitty picks up on justin's sudden panic, and glances between them, seeming to realize that he's probably said shit he shouldn't :| ]

Does Blade know she brought a date?

[Hammer has no idea who that is. apparently he's a Black Ted fan.]

Not me, that's for sure. [oh look at that, his wine's gone. shrug.] I'll have to introduce myself to this sister. She sounds like a real heartbreaker.

Or you could come with me and find a seat. [ she sure doesn't want to to do this, but letting hammer stay out here running her mouth seems the greater gamble, so she'll just... grab his arm and start leading him away.

[Well that was fucking terrible. Elena gives them both a parting wave, watching them leave the hallway. If Dumage doesn't come out soon after that, she'll move back toward where the main room meets the opening of that hallway to people watch.]

[ as she's waiting for a moment she would start to hear raised voices behind the door. sounds like things are going well in there... ]

She moves towards the door instead, standing just beside it outside, and listens...harder (listen 45).]

He's crazy. Marked difference. [ there's a defensiveness to her from amanda's comments now, however ] And I'm working on it. The last time we spoke you're the one who said we had plenty of time. So long as you don't go putting yourself in danger like this. Just listen to me for once in your life and leave. Please.

[ amanda's airy laugh seems to give zero fucks about dumage's impassioned plea tbh ] Riiight, because you're my go to for relationship advice. How is your ex anyway? Still finding people to cheat on his wife with?

[ and with that, the door opens up and dumage storms out in a huff ]

[Elena just sort of....looks over at her as she bursts back out into the hallway. Her expression is schooled into something very neutral; she's not exactly interested in antagonizing the woman any further after that, and Elena's pretty sure any show of emotion or interest in that conversation is going to cause a negative reaction.

She'll just stand here, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest and give Dumage a second to calm down.]

[ she seems too harried to even think of asking whether elena heard any of that, but she composes herself almost instantly, looking down the hall before she looks back at her. ] Well? Did you learn anything?

[Elena looks back down the hall as well, as if to assure herself that no one is going to round the corner before she speaks quickly and quietly.]

That man was the one responsible for Sarandis acquiring the massive weapons that he used against the institute. He's very aware of what the man is capable of, was convinced your sister was unaware of any of it, but didn't seem to think it would be very long before she found out.

[She's quiet for the briefest moment before she continues.]

Bonquas dragged him off, probably to keep him from continuing to run his mouth. She showed 'concern' about Blade being unaware that you might have brought a date, and wished me luck as they left.

I'm not worried about Blade. [ as for the rest, she just shakes her head ] That's all?

[doubletake]

[That makes one of them.]

Sarandis isn't very happy with the guy, not to mention he's apparently flat broke. Given what happened though, none of that is particularly surprising.

[She didn't catch the guy's name, whoops, but at least she never forgets a face.]

He wouldn't happen to have proof of that on him, would he? Bank statements, perhaps? [ it's clearly a bitter joke, as she glances back at the door, apparently convinced that there's no talking amanda around rn at least ] We should get inside.

[Elena only has time to nod before the phone in her pocket vibrates. She continues to walk slowly down the hall as she reads the text, lips pursing briefly as if she just tasted something sour.]

Wonderful.

What now?

[Elena just passes her the phone because that's silent and, therefore, safer. She doesn't want to audibly drop names any more than necessary.]

It's nothing I didn't think might happen but...

[postergirl]

All the more reason to get a move on. Come on. [ her heels click across the floor as she heads back out to the lobby, where almost everyone is now being ushered into the chapel to be seated. ]

[She nods, resuming her role of oblivious plus one, a hand placed barely against the small of her back as she escorts Dumage through the room, following directions so they can be seated, but her senses are sharp as they make their way (spot & listen 35).]
