The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[Welp, time to loiter, then. Spike pulls out a pack of cigarettes and leans against the wall, keeping his eyes and ears open (spot 36, listen 26).]

[ it's a little while later, as elena is reading justin hammer's unfortunate mind, that the door opens up over here, and decker greenwall comes out, pulling out a cigar, as he talks to someone on the phone. ]

--telling you I've got my hands full with that punk. It's getting out of hand, Crombe.

[bigbad]

[Oh shit this is great. Spike doesn't move, just keeps smoking and tries to overhear without looking like he's trying to overhear but... fails terribly (bluff crit fail).]

[shadowhater]

[ yeah decker sure notices, and glares spike down with no hint of recognition, but tons of annoyance (intimidation 34), as he starts to walk further away down the path, lowering his voice. spike's vampire hearing can still pick up more though, but the conversation seems rushed now, his words careful. ]

I don't care, I'm the one who has to deal with it. Why don't you send her over to keep him in line? Lay low a little while. After that fiasco in England, someone's gonna be looking for payback anyway.

[bigbad]

[Haha yeah his will save of 23 isn't enough to counter that, so he waits til Decker's back is turned before he flips two fingers at his back.]

Bugger you too, wanker. [He sends a text to Rose and Buffy: You're about to have company.

He pauses, then sends the group another message: Be on guard. Decker's here and he suspects we might be out for payback and is talking to bloody crombe about sending someone. A female someone.]

[rationalizes]

[ gar texts back: Thank you, Spike. We'll monitor for any new arrivals.

and shortly thereafter he'd get rose in his ear ]

[ it's not long after that strains of the wedding march reach spike's vampire ears as well. looks like it's beginning... ]

[Spike heads to a window to try and get a view of things (spot 35) especially once he hears Kat. Maybe he can help her get a good vantage point.]

[shootfirst]

[ and here comes kat, shortly thereafter, or at least... maybe? ] It's me. [ she says, quick and no-nonsense, to clear that up, before gesturing at the window ] Give me a boost.

[bigbad]

[Spike raises his eyebrows and holds his hands out in a loop for her to step on. He seems to have a little trouble getting a grip at first but two action points later, manages to hoist her easily enough (str 23).]

Don't you have flying spells or something?

[shootfirst]

No, I do not, Spike. Now shut up and let me concentrate. [ she wavers a bit in his hand but grips the edge of the window sill and pokes her head up, pulling out the scroll and starting to recite magical nonsense words. ]

[bigbad]

[Never let it be said that Spike can't keep quiet when it's absolutely necessary. He shuts up and lets her concentrate.]

Choke on a dick. [ everyone gets that over the comms too, very important commentary from kat. ] Gar, you ready to intercept the calls?

[rationalizes]

Ready and our team is standing by.

[ kat is still watching through the window tbh ] This is getting seriously fucked.

What's going on? [You are lucky he doesn't drop you just to see if he can get a better look.]

Elena stopped the other doctor, but then Buffy came in and went right for Sarandis, and it doesn't look like anyone's falling for whatever she's saying in there.

[bigbad]

Why the bugger would she do that? I'd expect that of me.

[Mostly because he's assuming she ran in to kill him or something.]

[shootfirst]

I think she was trying to stall the doctor. But Elena seemed to have that handl-- oh thank fuck, the other guys just got in.

[bigbad]

Thank bloody christ. Don't know what's going through that girl's head. [Spike cranes his neck but he's definitely too short to see anything.] Buffy clearing out?

[shootfirst]

She's trying.

Decker's trying to stop her.

[bigbad]

[Spike huffs out a breath as he listens to everything that's going on.]

She need a rescue or something? Cause I'm feel like I could offer more than stepladder duty.

[shootfirst]

They're taking her and Elena out of there. Decker and a bunch of thugs. Fuck.

[bigbad]

Bugger. [Apparently he will keep playing stepladder. Which is too bad. He really wants to hit something. But they do need to know what's going on before he can hit the right things.] Are the others clear yet?

[shootfirst]

Almost. They're taking him out right now.
