The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[Rose at least stops short of the soon to be crash scene, avoiding getting caught up in the collision as the sound of scraping metal fills the air.

Annnnd then she's gonna keep runnin, runnin, runnin as Adam Lambert plays in your heads, so that she can round the ambulance to reach the cop car which is all she can do this round. Such RP. Wow.]

[Uh, that's unpleasant. While Rose runs to the cop car, Des runs to the ambulance, wrenching the driver door open with a... nat 20 strength check he sure as fuck didn't need, BECAUSE WAS THAT DOOR EVEN LOCKED OR BROKEN IN ANY WAY. We're just not sure. He was clearly not fucking around here.]

Let's not stay in the crashed and useless vehicle, Marian.

[With evasion assisted reflex saves of 33 and 32, Elena avoids taking damage from the collisions, instead focusing on...getting Sarandis' sorry, bruised ass off the floor. She takes literally zero enjoyment out of even having to touch this scum, but whatever she'll deal with it.

She hefts him up with a str check of 20, though it's clear he's not exactly easy to carry or anything. Again, she'll deal with it.]

A couple of hours should be fine. I'll meet you at the airfield.

[Said quietly enough to ensure that the officers in the car nearby won't hear, and then she turns and basically jumps from the vehicle to take off, using her last heroic surge to fly them as far away from this chaos as possible (fly 19).]

[with ref saves of 28 and 27, astrid takes a little bit of damage but is otherwise fine, hovering in the doorway of the ambulance while des ... rescues gar from her perfectly functioning door??? man it sure did turn into a clusterfuck outside while she was busy trying to make sure shit didn't fall on dimitris. just saying. also she is taking her bonesaw. it's hers now.] Which way are we going?

[ the cops recover as quickly as they can from the accident, and K slams his door open, trying to hit Rose with it (atk 16 lol no). it's at least open now.

L gets a grip on his weapon and raises it to point at her head, firing a couple shots that don't come anywhere near her (atk 19, 15) ]

[Felicity manages to keep herself from catching any of the damage in the crash, finding something to brace herself as the cars collide (reflex save 21, nat 20, 35 total with evasion). Then suddenly Des is there, with the undamaged door, and she glances back over her shoulder to make sure Astrid is okay as well.

She has to wait until Gar gets out to vault over the middle console (if there is one) and get out the driver's side door, so this is her readying an action to do that! If I need to roll something for it let me know.]

Oh! [ she lets out a small sound of surprise as the door is ripped OFF ITS HINGES le damn, her hand leaping to her throat, but she quickly recovers. ] Yes, of course... [ she reaches out for des' free hand, taking it so that she can jump out quickly, allowing felicity to follow. ] I don't know how far we're going to get on foot. [ she glances back worriedly in the direction of the front lawn ] We have to hope Myri can teleport the others...

[With little effort, Rose moves out of the way of the opening door, the momentum allowing her to avoid the two shots from L that fly wide as she comes full circle to be facing K.]

Always with the guns... [Voice laced with exasperation as she attempts to disarm K. While he gets an AoO, the dhampir is still too fast, the bullet whizzing past her face (K's atk 31) as she relieves him of his weapon. Atk 41 (Unarmed) VS K's Atk 32.

Holding K's gun on L now.] I mean I wasn't even armed!

[Des doesn't seem that perturbed that the door just came off its hinges in his hand and with little effort shifts it to his right, using it as a makeshift shield as he waves Astrid, Felicity, and Gar behind him, moving backwards five feet as he quick draws his gun.]

We'll get farther than we will in that hunk of scrap. Start running.

[Meanwhile, Elena is going to...keep on keeping on, gaining at least some height so that hopefully anyone that might be walking between buildings won't see her without looking up, but she has her eye out also for an area with cars without any people nearby (spot 37).

She can't keep this up forever. Dude is heavy.]

[ummm you don't need to tell her twice she is staying close to des and this tacky car door shield everything is fine. this is fine.]

[ officer K is utterly unnerved by that, but L keeps his weapon up, although he stops firing. he says tensely:

"No one else needs to get hurt today, Miss, whatever this is about."

meanwhile G loses two tires and doesn't do a great job of keeping control of the car (drive 10).

in fact, he drives straight into the side of this poor church too. amaze. ]

[Yeah, Felicity's just going to book it, heading to the nearest sign of cover whether it be trees or buildings. She's still got her Excalibur out if she needs it, but for right now she's just running.]

[rationalizes]

Felicity! [ gar shouts as she moves behind des' shield, watching her run off like fuuuck, before saying to the others: ] We need to stay together and find a way out of here.

[ more civilians have flooded into the garden, pointing and shouting and watching elena fly off, camera phones raised and documenting whatever they can over there, including this little gathering of knights ]

Good. Then we're on the same page. [Rose not lowering her weapon for even a second.]

All the same... [She's going to fire off a shot at the gun in his hand, but that provokes an AoO for attacking an object he's holding and the MF Nat 20's for 10 dmg, Rose taking a bullet in the arm and staggering back a step. More in shock... that he actually hit her.

Using an heroic surge (2/5), she's going to attempt... diplomacy... but IDEK if that's doable cause he's probably hostile but sure why not cause that was such a boss roll for her. (Diplomacy 25 - I said for her okay.)]

We get into a gunfight, these civilians here are going to get caught in the crossfire and neither of us want that. You back off. We leave. [She figures if nothing else, while they're focused on her they aren't ya know. Shooting at the rest of their group.]

[Des cringes, adjusting the car door shield a little. it's a couple hundred pounds worth of door, okay. his arm is getting tired.] Much as I hate to say it, Felicity's got the right idea. We need to put some ground between us and this clusterfuck. You should take Astrid and follow her.

[In fact, he'll even add over the comm in a hoarse whisper:] Kat. Southeast. We're gonna need a pick-up when you break through.

[She would probably say something but...her hands are full and her only option would be to double back once she finds her own car and that's...probably a bad idea since she's the one carrying the very important delivery so she'll just keep doing what she's doing and spend her round flying as fast as she can and looking for a car by its lonesome some more (spot 31).

Why does everything have to sound so horrible, guys? Get out of there.]

[astrid huffs like an annoyed goat, but takes off after felicity. u g h.]

[ the officer closest to rose stares back at her, saying: ] How far do you think you are going to get? Turn this into a chase across town and there will be civilians in the middle of it.

[Felicity pauses when she hears her name (listen 24), glancing back over her shoulder to see why - she thought they were supposed to be evacuating. But she will give Astrid a chance to catch up with her, ready to cover her and Gar if need be.]

I see them! [ gar perks up as kat comes careening around the corner, looking back at felicity and astrid to try to wave them back. she glances at rose to make certain she's still holding the police at bay, keeping a worried eye on the cops in the parking lot.

meanwhile, elena sees about six cars on the next street over that might be suitable. ]

[Despite the burning in her arm where the bullet went through, Rose holds the gun steady, aware that while she's aiming it at them, they'll perceive her as the greater threat and leave the others alone. At least... she hopes so anyway.]

Then don't chase us? [... ...... .......

I sure hope you weren't expecting a more compelling argument here. She is however going to ready an action to attack (shoot at a gun) should anyone try and shoot their weapons. We'll also slip in a Listen (38) and Spot (34) check there for Rose to be aware of what's going on around her.]

[Des sees Kat come careening around the corner and notes that she's NOT ALONE. Growling, he nods towards Gar to get to Kat and run over to where Rose is.] I got this. Worry about making sure the others don't try and wreck our ride.

[Spotting those cars, Elena will head that way, watching for arrivals and listening for any sirens that might be approaching her position as she makes her descent (listen 45, spot 29), heading for the nearest vehicle in the group.]
