The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[ Look you got shot a lot, Kat, so maybe Steve's a little bit worried. Even though he's pretty sure Vi did some mojo to get you going again. He's still going to check and maybe commend you for all that crazy ass magic stuff. Maybe you showed Steve that not every magic user is Loki. ]

I've had worse. [ she takes a sip, smirking over at fred a moment, before looking steve over ] What about you? First time out in the field with this crew, and you kept up. Not bad.

[recruited]

I'll be honest it's rare that I see someone take that many bullets and keep going.

[ That isn't him at least. She held up. ]

Ya know--the war was basically one massive improvisation effort. You can have the best laid plans and get thrown in the grinder. [ He shrugs. ] You learn to lean into it.

[nepotism]

I'm gonna go ahead and not ask for clarification on exactly how many bullets constitutes 'that many'. You know. For my sanity.

[recruited]

[ Steve winces and nods at Fred. ]

I wouldn't. But she never went down. You have yourself a very strong dame.

[ Don't say dame, Steven. ]

[shootfirst]

Strong what?

[recruited]

[ Steve holds up his hands. Thinking he's offended her ]

Sorry. Old habits from the forties. Woman. [ He stresses. ] You're a very strong woman.

[nepotism]

Good save. She really hates the 'd' word.

[recruited]

Back in my time it was just a word. I forget things have changed sometimes. I've been out of the ice for years and I still struggle with texting.

[shootfirst]

It's like being on a team with my grandpa.

[recruited]

[ He knows he can act old. That he can act like most peoples father or grandfather. He's not sure what to feel. ]

Someone once told me I'm pretty spry for an old man. [ He pauses. ] I keep my money under my mattress too. [ No he doesn't. He's just fucking with you now. ] Do you want a hard candy?

[shootfirst]

You're a weird guy, Steve.

[recruited]

Well, I'm almost a hundred. So, I'll take weird over grandpa.

[ He gives her a pointed look. ]

[nepotism]

That's pretty tame as far as her usual insults go.

[recruited]

I'm betting she's just afraid of offending her elders.

[ Steve is happy to continue to be Grandpa Steve if Kat wants. ]

Isn't that right, whipper snapper?

[shootfirst]

Oh my god, it doesn't have an off switch.

[recruited]

In all fairness you started this. [ YOU SEE, KAT, DON'T CALL OTHER PEOPLE GRANDPA. ] If you compare me to your grandpa again I'll be forced to take my teeth out. [ He settles back in his seat look so very, very smug right now. ]

[nepotism]

[ He gestures to Fred after he speaks. ]

It's okay if you want to join Team Grandpa. [ Steve starts to get up from his seat. He stops before he goes. ] We have hard candy.

[shootfirst]

He's not a blood traitor.

[ Steve nods and steps away. He then puts his hand behind his back and presses his fingers in to mimic a back ache. ] Just so old. [ He says as he walks away. ] So hard to get to my seat.

[ she chucks an in-flight peanut at the back of his head (atk 20 vs. flat footed defense??? (aka, minus dex mod to defense) ]

[ That was the most pathetic peanut throw. Wow, Kat, wow. Steve turns around to look at her like she's grown a second head. ] You couldn't even hit a grandpa. That is--you can hit a helicopter at a great distance with a fireball, but you can't hit an old man with a peanut a few feet away?

You're on dangerous ground, dude. Don't say no one warned you.

She started this. That's the thing about me. I'm very bullheaded when it comes to standing down.
