The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[Felicity is also going to slide out of the car because the TARDIS car may be making her feel a little claustrophobic and is just going to go and stand near Vi and not make any commentary.

There's not really anything for her to say until Elena gets here.]

[wynn]

[ wynn surveys them all as they climb out, taking stock of who is... not there. ] Sarandis. Is he with Sir Gilbert?

[realizing that while part of their conversation happened over the headsets, only a couple of them actually ... saw elena scoop dimitris away, so she replies]

Yes, she flew him out ... on her wings. [like what else is she supposed to say???? elena did not use a helicopter!!] She said she would meet us here.

[doubletake]

[And then suddenly Gar's phone rings because she fucking crit failed her navigation check and got lost.

People with gr8 hearing can probably hear her talking with annoyed exasperation.]

I'm sorry. Your private airfield isn't showing up on my gps, and there's no shortage of police activity. I'll be there soon.

[And then with Gar's help she gets a...better check of 14, pulling up late. She looks mildly frazzled as she pulls the stolen car to a stop, having shifted back a long time ago, she pops the trunk before she steps out, walks around to the back, and lifts it up to reveal a still unconscious Sarandis tucked inside.

She mutters under her breath:]

If I have to drive again, it'll be too soon.

[Yeah Rose isn't about to wait in the car, following right after Des to move over to where Wynn and the others wait. A flash of relief in her eyes as her gaze skates over Spike and Myri.

The gun she'd souvenired gets put away. Rose glancing at Wynn as Astrid explains where Elena is.

Speaking of...]

[ vi squeezes felicity's arm, but scampers over to elena and the car, concern covering her expression. ] You okay? Is he...?

[recruited]

[ Steve's finally able to liberate himself from the police car and stretch his legs. He heads towards the car Elena commandeered and nods. ] You want me to lug him onto the plane?

[doubletake]

[She just nods to Vi.]

I'm fine. I just hate cars.

[Too much car crash ptsd, okay. She does not like high stress car situations. Done with them, tbh.]

He's still out. [She looks from Steve to Wynn, raising a brow.] It depends on where you'd like him, I think.

[Since there's...three planes??? For some reason??]

[Des looks relieved when Elena appears, but doesn't go to her, sticking close to the police car with his hands in his pockets.] So what's with the big welcome committee?

[yeah, he's just gonna

come out and ask it.]

[ at that point, another car pulls through the gates, and jack gets out. his gaze sweeps across the gathered, lingering on gar for a moment with just a hint of relief of his own, before he moves to wynn's side, where the knights' leader has moved to look into the trunk. ] We're clear.

[ wynn's aspect is grave as he nods, holding up a hand to still steve from approaching quite yet. ] He isn't going anywhere. [ with that, he steps back once, nodding to jack to head towards the third plane, and then giving steve the order: ] Untie him here.

Sir Solace. [ solace moves forward to wait for steve to do as ordered. ]

[ With Elena's arrival and the unloading of Sarandis, Buffy climbs out of the car, lingering near the door and fixing her attention on Wynn, her wary unease morphing into concern (sense motive 27) because she's never seen him like this. Slowly, she approaches, asking in a voice that somewhat dreads that she already knows the clear answer, ] Why aren't we leaving?

[recruited]

[ Being a soldier means taking orders. After Steve was thawed out he stopped listening. Especially where SHIELD was concerned. Nick Fury never told the whole truth and after all the things with HYDRA it made it hard to just take orders blindly. Still he doesn't hesitate when Wynn gives him that order. Because he's spoken to Wynn about this directly. About what would happen to this man before him. He lets out a breath and bends to untie Sarandis. ] Sir. [ He straightens up with his eyes glued to Wynn. ]

[ wynn watches him get untied, as buffy asks him that question, and his only response is: ] I want you all here for this.

[ jack moves past gar towards the plane, and she barely stops herself from following him, although she says quietly: ] Jack...

[ kat puts her hand on gar's arm, and the other woman meets her gaze, noticing the tiny shake of her head that kat gives her, a clear 'let him do this'. ]

[ jack looks back at gar for a moment, a heaviness in his gaze, but he says nothing, moving on to climb the steps and open the door. when he does so, they can see that there is a flag on the door of the plane:

the flag of andres isle. ]

[ first down the ramp is... liam chambers, wearing an impeccable suit, with an earpiece visible, and a weapon on his belt. he moves down, glancing around, before he puts his hand to his ear and murmurs something into it. ]

[ moments later, mark and alainn follow, making their way down with very serious expressions of their own. mark's eyes sweep the yard, stopping on wynn, and then sliding to the man being untied on the ground.

at his waist hangs excalibur. ]

[so much intense shit going on rn and astrid is 10000 percent distracted bc WHY DOES MARK'S BODYGUARD LOOK SO MUCH LIKE JASON STATHAM IS HE SINGLE CAN SHE SNEAK ONTO MARK'S PLANE AND MAKE OUT WITH HIM?????]

[ .... Welp. This is not what she was expecting. She was at least expecting them to get back to London, but apparently not. It shows a bit on her face (will save 10), but she keeps her mouth shut, just waiting to see how things play out.]

[everyone's really grave and somber and Des just walks up to Liam and stands beside him for a moment before leaning over to him slightly.]

So now when I wanna call you and you don't wanna pick up, I can just call Mark's phone, right?

[Pieces of the puzzle slowly slot into place, a flash of understanding in Rose's eyes as her gaze is drawn to Mark (wis 17) and if there's even a hint of dismay at what she thinks is about to happen. It in no way shows. If anything, she almost seems to relax a little at this turn of events. Like a weight is slowly lifting from her shoulders.

She does look to Alainn however, resists the urge to break the seriousness of the moment by going to her and offers her a small, but grim smile instead.]

[As Jack, Mark and Alainn show themselves, Elena quietly backs away from the back of the car, giving others room to deal with their prisoner. He's out of her hands now, and she's more than happy to let someone else handle that matter, though she can guess who is going to have that pleasure in the end.

She steps over to Des' other side, glancing at him briefly before crossing her arms her chest as she settles in to watch how this proceeds.]

[ Steve is rooted in his spot close to Sarandis. His eyes flicker over to Mark, Alainn and that other man. The castle is big and he's been on this side of the veil long enough to learn things about this King. He looks at Wynn as he processes (wisdom 16) what's perhaps unfolding. ]
