The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

Ohhh. [That mythical group of Knights that Rose knows nothing about because what is Diplomacy?!]

Well it explains why I've never heard of her, yeah. [Rose spends almost all of her time between the training room, the castle grounds... so she can run, and hauled up with Dean.]

She's nice. She didn't get mad during my introduction to this place when we danced and I stepped on her feet.

[ If anything she was very nice about it. Despite him crushing her toes and being twice her size. ]

She doesn't have to know Cordelia or understand the purpose of The Dragon's Tongue to be happy to know Steve has somebody.]

She's gotta be something if she can beat out half the Castle, right? [A smirk taking hold.]

It wasn't even half the Castle. Way more people live in the Castle.

[ He's pretty sure that would be an impossible challenge to date actually half the Castle. Though he's betting Natasha would happily set Steve up just to say she did have him date half the Castle. ]

You're right though. She is something.

So does that mean she's your girlfriend?

Ya know before coming here I hardly ever dated. Before the ice I had never even been on one.

[ All this dating is hard. ]

I don't know. We haven't talked about that. I've never had one to tell you the truth.

I don't know if I'm really an expert on dating. I've had it suggested I'm doing it wrong.

[Or rather, that Dean wasn't her boyfriend because they didn't go on 'dates'.]

But I figure, if you want to be with her and nobody else and she feels the same way? She's your girlfriend.

I don't really know if there's a wrong or right way? I mean. I always figured it was tailor made to each specific person.

[ He doesn't know. Him and his friends growing up always had different ideas of what a date was. ]

Exactly! [Rose might have taken great offense to the suggestion okay. SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO NORMAL PEOPLE!]

Um... Dean and I... kind of talked? [The wrinking of her nose and general look of uncertainty suggests an emphasis on the 'kind of'.] I don't know. I made it pretty clear I didn't do casual and he stuck around so it just... Fell into place I guess?

[ Steve's not sure if he's been normal in a long time. He appears it, but he's had too much happen to be that or really consider the normal lifestyle. ]

What's kind of talked? Did you mime to each other? [ Now he's just being a little shit on purpose. ] I guess I should mime to Cordelia.

[Her eyes narrow, features twisting like... how do I even?? Words?]

It's complicated? [Grimacing a little.] I sort of, hadn't officially broken up with my ex? I mean, we hadn't seen each other in months and it was all...

[Her brow furrows and as much as she tries to push away the hurt she feels at how and why her relationship with Dimitri came to an end, there's a definite flash of pain in her eyes. Rose unable to untangle that one event from everything else that had gone wrong between New York and Andres. (Will Save 14).]

So we talked but... it wasn't like. Hey so you wanna be my girlfriend or anything.

I think relationships and romance isn't really easy or done a specific way. Things like talking about commitment doesn't have a rule book. I mean I wish it did because it would make my life a lot easier.

[ Mostly because Steve knows people learn through trial and error. They learn through experience. Steve's experience is limited. ]

Somehow I don't see you asking "Will you be my boyfriend?" to someone.

I think I said something like... I promise not to hit you if you don't want this to be something more? [So very Rose tbh.] And we're still together, so.

[ Steve bites his tongue to stop himself (will save 19) from making the joke that maybe Dean just didn't believe she'd not hit him. He doesn't want her to doubt her relationship. That'd be rude and he'd never forgive himself. ]

I don't think I can say that to Cordelia. But I'm glad it worked out for you, Rose.

Hey - I told you I'm not the best person to ask about all this. [She warned you Steve. Rose doesn't know how to do Normal People Things.]

You could always just try introducing her to somebody as your girlfriend? If she slaps you then you know you read that one wrong. [Again Steve. You were warned.]

[ He was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, Rose. Dang. ]

That's--but if I'm wrong and she slaps me then I'm dumped and I've also been slapped.

[ Steve is just expecting crappy advice from Rose at this point that when the last bit comes it makes him stop. Because for a moment he thinks it's not helpful again. But upon further reflection it's not the worst thing ever. ]

I was half expecting you to say I should act out how I feel or something.

Yeah I think you should avoid mime at all costs. Those guys are just creepy.
