The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

I don't know what you have to be sorry for. I never wanted Amanda to come with us.

Surely you don't want her left in the hands of these people, though...

You do know that Wynn put Valentin into power here, don't you?

[witchwoman]

Yes, but... [She shakes her head, remembering why she doesn't speak to Dumage much.]

She's your family. Which...which makes her mine as well. [Despite always being at odds with the woman, Myri does see all of the Knights as her family. Dumage is just the older sister who has picked on her for as long as she can remember.]

[ that actually... really throws her off ] You don't even know her. You hardly know me.

[witchwoman]

I never knew the family I was born into. Amaranth was the only family I had for as long as I could remember. And then the Stargods brought me here, guided me to Wynn and the Knights. This is my home. This is my family. You and I have never been friends. And we may never be. There are times when I certainly do not like you very much at all.

But that doesn't change the fact that we are connected, that I would fight for you. So it doesn't matter if I know your sister. She's important to you, which means she's important to me.

Working with someone doesn't mean that you should automatically have to be concerned about their well-being. Plenty of people worked with Kyp while you were on Andres, and that certainly didn't mean they came to consider him family. [ she still seems unsettled by the concern, defensiveness rising to cover that discomfort ]

[witchwoman]

I never said any of this was automatic. Had this problem arisen a few years ago? I might not feel as I do. I know you don't need my help. And you likely don't want it either. But I'm giving it anyway- or trying.

[She still considers that part a failure.]

Well, Amanda learning about the Knights wouldn't be helping. I can't control what she does, so the best I could hope for was to take Dimitris out of the equation. She's an attractive human woman - Slovechnia might be a terrible place for Shadowkind, but she's nothing of the sort, and she has a King looking out for her.

She'll be fine.

[witchwoman]

[Myri doesn't look entirely convinced, but she also recognizes that she doesn't know Amanda nearly as well as Dumage does.]

Alright. Well... if there's anything I can help with, I hope you know that you can ask.

[witchwoman]

[She hesitates, not sure if she should try to say anything more, but ends up just nodding before she steps away. She won't force the issue and it isn't as though she and Dumage are all that chatty otherwise.]
