The morning after, the Knights board a plane at their private airfield, and begin the couple hour flight to the country of Slovechnia.  Wynn has laid out a plan for them as such, leaving Sir Gar in charge of seeing it executed:  they are to send in a few Knights to infiltrate the wedding, while others steal an ambulance from a local hospital.  Using magic to make Sarandis think he's having a heart attack during the ceremony, they will intercept the outgoing call to the paramedics, and pose as them to take him out of there and straight to a private airfield to meet with Wynn.  They're all aware, however, of just how smoothly their plans tend to go where these villains are involved - especially if the Mind Master shows up.  

Either way, it promises to be an interesting day...

[ des comes up with them quickly enough, and kat looks at him like wut ] You're picking now to play catch-up?

[he dangles the keys to show her that he's found them.] About the mission. I know it's been over a year since what happened on Andres, but I don't buy into out of sight, out of mind by default. I'm just asking. You don't have to explain your answer.

[shootfirst]

[ she looks up at the keys, and then past to look at him more seriously ] He's going to be dead by the end of the day.

I've never been fucking better.

[well, he figures wynn has some elaborate grandiose thing planned so that may turn into "end of the next week" or maybe, at best, "end of the next couple of days," but he isn't going to stomp on Kat's dreams here. if dimitris died because Kat accidentally smothered him to death with his own testicles, well... who else deserved it than her?

Besides Myri and Spike. But Myri probably wouldn't be as colorful and Spike doesn't know the art of a good build-up, bless him.]

That's an excellent answer. [he gets back onto his feet and brushes himself off.] C'mon. We can hide in the back of the ambulance until the girls get done.

There's the first bright idea you've had all day. [ AND IN THEY GO ]

[And after having some fun adventures with nurses and paramedics, Felicity and Astrid reappear with uniforms in hand and ready to head out of there and get the show on the road. Felicity is gong to take a moment and see if she can spot Kat and Des to figure out which ambulance they grabbed (spot 15).]

[I imagine it's the only one with the open back door, even though Kat and Des are currently inside it, so there's that...]

[ des why would you leave the back door open YOU ARE THE WORST AT HIDING. either way, kat leans out when they come out the door to gesture them inside. ] You guys get them?

[astrid flounces over and climbs in.] Yep. Easy as pie.

[Yeah, she did not think the door would be open, but there they are so Felicity follows in suit.]

[SHUT UP, LITTLE MISS LETS PUNCH EVERYTHING.]

Oh yeah. It's like I steal ambulances all the time.

[Des climbs out the back and moves to get in the driver's seat.]

The way I see it, we've got a couple of ways to play this. Either we slap on the uniforms before we drive out there and hope there's not some complicated process to checking out, or we try to get that chick out of the guard box long enough to vamoose.

[allmydreams]

[Felicity shifts a bit as she puts her bag on the ground and considers.]

Astrid and I have to get into the uniforms anyway. You want to see if you can see how checking out works while we do that?

Leave that one to me. [he runs a hand through his hair.] Hand me one of those uniforms, though. At least it'll help me sell it. And we gotta make this fast before the guys Kat and I knocked out wake up.

[more annoyed than scandalized] You knocked people out?

The situation escalated. [ LE SHRUG. ]

[Sigh. But she will toss a uniform up to Des, while starting to get dressed herself. She actually doesn't look too bad as a paramedic (disguise 24), and she pauses before tucking her hair into her hat.]

All the more reason we should try and check it out. If an ambulance just suddenly goes missing, it may draw a lot of attention too fast and blow the plan too soon.

It wasn't my first choice. [He drapes the uniform over his arm.] All right. Wish me luck.

[and he's gonna walk over to the guard station, making a show of patting his pockets and fiddling with the uniform like he's searching for something as he works his way up. (bluff 47)

He's still looking when he reaches the station before catching himself and... at least he rolled well to fake something akin to Czech accent so he doesn't look like a bumbling American (wis 22) GOOD JOB, DESCANT.] Ah. It's to be one of those days, isn't it?

[he beams at her, awkwardly, laying on the easygoing natural flirtation (charm 51)]

[ welp. she doesn't seem to think there's anything amiss about him speaking english, apparently, so maybe it was the accent that helped or maybe she's just lost all interest in candy crush because she lowers her phone entirely, fixing him with complete attention.

"Hmm? Oh yes," she says, grinning back. "Are you new?" ]

Unfortunately, yes. [he leans on the counter.] And running late, sadly. I was sent to inform you that we will be needing to borrow an ambulance for a short while. There were promises made to some young schoolchildren- I did not hear the details, but I imagine they are incredibly excited to see how real heroes save lives.

[shootfirst]

[ she's just gonna lean her cheek on her hand like THAT IS SOOOO INTERESTING over here. "I bet that'll give the kids a real thrill. I could never work with kids. I babysit my sister's kids sometimes, and they drive me up a wall." ]

And, to be honest, I think they're mostly interested in the flashing lights and the sirens, which will be such a headache later, but if they learn something... Well, I will have done them a service. And they're young. They have so little time to be... crazy. [he sort of reaches over like he's going for a pen and brushes his hand against hers just so. whoops.] Do I have something I should sign?

[shootfirst]

[ her eyes flash down momentarily to his hand, and she pushes her hair back self-consciously. "I, um, yeah. Probably, we should do that, huh?" flustered, she turns to start looking through the paperwork, before pulling out a clipboard with a pen attached. "Right here." ]

[He signs it with a vaguely incomprehensible fake name. It definitely starts with D, though. She can have fun trying to figure it out.] Thank you. Perhaps I'll see you when we return, yes?

[ "Yeah! Hopefully. I work only five more hours today," she says, looking down at the board to apparently hoping tack his name onto that because you bet she's about to try and memorize it. when she can't immediately read it she looks up at him to ask, "I'm sorry, what was your name?" ]
