Cordelia and Steve have gotten together to plan a rather fun party to celebrate Sarandis being taken down. Abbie even managed to grab them a rather awesome band to entertain the guests and everything else was hand picked and decided on by Cordy and Steve. It's not as fancy as a squiring after party, but it's just as fun. The ballroom has been "dressed down" a little to match the relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy yourselves!

And from what I've heard, that guy seemed like a bad dude.

You have no idea. I mean, I don't know how he was even real. He basically had one of those handlebar mustaches that he could twirl as he tied virgins to railroad tracks.

[He laughs a bit at that, before nodding.]

Yeah, I didn't get here until after the castle attack. From what I could tell it was kind of like he was the boogeyman or something.

And a sore loser. We rooted his ass right off Andres Isle a couple years ago and he couldn't recognize when he was good and humiliated.

Bad guys never do. They always have to try and come back on top again. Especially if they got their ass handed to them.

You think he'd want to keep whatever scraps of dignity he had left intact.

[supertardiness]

In my experience, bad guys never know when to quit. Dignity? Not really all that big a concern for them.

I take it you've known a lot of bad guys.

I've run into my fair share. Some of them scarier than others.

So what's the worst you've ever seen?

[supertardiness]

[There's a long pause.]

Guy traveled back in time to murder my mom and keep me from being a hero, and when I still became a hero anyway, convinced me that he was my friend before stabbing me in the back.

[Or ... something along those lines. Grrr Eobard Thawne.]

Wait. Can we travel back in time so you can run that by me again?

[supertardiness]

[He sighs.]

This guy named Eobard Thawne was obsessed with the hero I was supposed to become - to the point where he wanted to be the on to stop me. He was a speedster, like me, and if we travel fast enough, we can move through time.

It sounds like this guy was just jealous.

[supertardiness]

That was part of it, probably. But then when he traveled back in time to destroy me he accidentally got stuck in my timeline and then irony of ironies, he needed me to get back to his own timeline. So he ... created me and trained me and made me trust him which sucked when I found out who he actually was.

So what did you do?

[supertardiness]

I ... didn't actually do anything. I went along with his plan at first, but I learned that some things you can't really change, no matter how hard you try. I wasn't the one who stopped him, though.

[That was Eddie, doing something drastic and heroic all at the same time.]

He sounds like he might have been offended if it wasn't you.

[supertardiness]

He probably was. But I wasn't fast enough to stop him. Eddie was.

[Though it wasn't a sacrifice Eddie should have had to make.]

Are people with superspeed just a dime a dozen where you come from?

[supertardiness]

[He shrugs.]

As far as I know, we're the only two - but there are other people with powers.

[And Eddie was his descendant. You can't have a descendant if you never have children - or more to the point, don't exist to have children.]

Like superstrength?

[supertardiness]

Yeah. Or electrokinesis. I ran into a metahuman who could control the weather - two, actually - and one who could turn his body into poisonous gas.

[allaboutme]

That last one doesn't seem like much of a party trick.

[supertardiness]

Yeah, it's not. He used it to kill a lot of people.
