Hasmed's announcement does not brook any rebuttal: all Knights are recalled to the Castle, where they must remain until the Section Heads and Jack Chessing have spoken about the events in Los Angeles that have left the Knighthood without their usual leader.  

The entire Los Angeles area is now covered with a dark miasma that has interfered with any signals that might be sent out from phones, etc., leaving the whole world wondering what exactly is happening down there.  Final images showed horrendous monsters, a panic of citizens, looting and violence from humans and Shadowkind alike.  

Hasmed has warned of extra magical wards on the castle, and anyone arriving will immediately take notice of one very prominent one: above the entire roof of the excessively large building hovers a black and red sigil in the air, a pentagram in a circle surrounded by runes or words in an unknown language, stretching for miles.  

[ This is the social log for post-LA lockdown.  Failboat must complete the top log before being allowed to tag outside of it. ]

[After Solace's announcement, Clark assumes that the section heads are available and books it for Dovan's office. He knocks on the door and keeps checking his phone to see if Lois has texted him. Her nervousness is painted plainly on his face. He hates all of this.]

[ironsides]

[ dovan yells from his desk: ] Come in!

[clarkfuckingkent]

[Clark heads in, closing the door behind him and trying not to look as nervous as he feels.]

Hello, sir. I, uh, have a bit of a situation and I need some guidance.

[ironsides]

Seem to be a lot of those going around. What is it now? [ he doesn't sound annoyed, at least, just tired ]

[clarkfuckingkent]

Someone I know from back home claims to know about us. The knighthood. She's in London and wants to see me. I think I can talk her down and convince her to leave it alone. [lol sure Clark.] But I wanted to talk to you first.

[ironsides]

Did she say how she came about this information?

[clarkfuckingkent]

No, but she's kind of an expert at sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. [He pauses, then adds.] She's a reporter.

[ironsides]

You think she's pursuing information on us to publish it? [ it's hard to hide his alarm at the idea ]

[clarkfuckingkent]

I think it's a possibility. She's... persistent. But she's a good person. If she knew more about what we're doing and why, she might let it go. But if I keep dodging her questions, she's only going to convince herself that she needs to keep digging.

[ironsides]

You want to tell her about us.

... To bring her in? Or as an ally?

[clarkfuckingkent]

I don't really know. Is bringing someone in to be a squire even an option right now?

[ironsides]

It might be unusual, but if she were to meet with one of us section heads... possible? Until Wynn comes back, that is. Then we could make it more, er, official.

Should someone come with me, then?

[ironsides]

Seems a better idea than bringing her here. I'd go myself, but I need to look over these Hellsing troops.

Do you have any suggestions? I'm not very familiar with the other section heads. [Also he was thinking about coming clean to Lois about his heritage but lol nope. Not if someone important is coming with him and they're all paranoid about who they can trust.]

[ironsides]

Hasmed and Solace are bound to be busy... What about Koraith?

[clarkfuckingkent]

[With a wis check of 10, Clark struggles to remember what sect Koraith heads up.]

He's in charge of the Dragon's....tonsils? The diplomats.

[He tried]

The tongue, boy.

[clarkfuckingkent]

Right. Sorry, I didn't sleep well last night. So should I just head down to his office or could you call him for me?

[ironsides]

I'll make him aware and tell him to get a hold of you quickly.

[clarkfuckingkent]

I really appreciate it. [The relief in his expression is hard to miss. He makes his way to the door.] Thank you again, sir.

[ironsides]

Let's hope we can talk her down off putting us on page one, mm?

[clarkfuckingkent]

[With a grim nod, Clark opens the door.]

I'll do my best, sir. [And with that, he leaves to go keep himself busy until Koraith contacts him.]

[ koraith is quick to come track him down at least ] Sir Kent?

[clarkfuckingkent]

[Only one person should be looking for him right now. Clark turns and holds out a hand to shake. They've probably interacted in passing, but if this is the guy that's going to help him out, he wants to make a good impression.]
