Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

Hasmed and Solace have declared themselves temporary Dragon's Claws, as it were. The son of the god of Nightmares summoned him in Los Angeles, by breaking the seal on his otherworldy prison. Somehow, he managed to slay the god upon his arrival, and seems to have taken his powers.

Wynn stayed behind to engage him, likely to give us all a chance to get out alive. Our team is believed to be compromised, and Hasmed and Solace have taken control of the Knighthood.

Are drinks an option? Because I could definitely use one or twelve?

[Sorry, folks, because she has had a Day, and she didn't think that alcohol would be available in Knight Rehab.]

It gets worse. They believe we're compromised by his ally, some kind of ancient devil calling herself the Mind Master, who has whooped our asses every time we've tried to touch her. [ she casts a short, guilty gaze in felicity's direction on that thought. ] What we're up against with these two ... it's like nothing this world has seen before.

Demon. [Her face ever so serious as she looks from one man to the other.] And yes, as in from Hell.

[Rose glances as Jack, almost as if looking for his guidance on how much to say before adding.]

There's more but... [A brief look in Dean's direction.] Some things you may be better off not knowing, for your own sakes. We have enemies with a talent for reading minds.

[Charming catches Vi as she vaults herself towards him. He gives her a big warm hug because wow it's nice to see someone so excited to see him. When he pulls back, he keeps an arm around her while he focuses on what the others are saying. There's a small flinch in his expression when Dom mentions an incident. His eyes drop to the ground briefly, but he returns to the matter at hand.]

How can we help? Or do you just need a place to stay?

[Alainn is snuggled up to Mark, as much for comfort as warmth, her grip on his hand tight. She wets her lips, looking between Rose and Jack then speaking up in a determined voice.]

Well, I for one am more than ready to stop being kept in the dark about all of this. We [indicating Mark and herself] picked up on enough rumor and innuendo back at HQ to get a good idea what all has been going on, but we weren't on the plane with all of you on the way to L.A. I know it's not up to me to say how much we should and shouldn't know, but honestly? We're kinda down to the nitty-gritty of it all, and I'd like to know what exactly we're signing up for.

The time has come to lay all our cards on the table. [She gives Rose a significant look before her next words, choosing them carefully. Remember that one thing that we have, you know, that thing??] All of our cards.

Considering you're the ones bringing this to our doors, I'm going to go ahead and agree with her. [ he nods to alainn ] We might be able to help you, but not if we don't know what we're up against. Devils and demons are a little... out there, I have to say. But if you're up against psions, well.

[ he smirks at mik, who doesn't smirk back ] I'm always down for fighting fire with fire.

The psion and the demon in question are one and the same. We know how it sounds. [ he glances at rose, dean, and buffy ] But there's no room to argue the existence of these things. They've infiltrated our own ranks, turned some of our own against God and nature.

[ to charming's former question, he adds: ] We need a Headquarters... although I thought perhaps there might be a thing or two to be learned here. We need to hone our skills.

[Spike's still mostly lurking towards the back and looking grumpy, and he nods emphatically at Alainn's words. He doesn't add to them, though. He made his position on secrets extremely clear already, and all it did was start fights. Maybe Alainn will have better luck, since she's a generally more pleasant person, but he's not ready to make any bets.]

Some of you might have to double up, but we should have the rooms. [ under his breath, dominik says "One more, now", which mikhail ignores pointedly ] There's always room in the village as well.

I trust your discretion in telling us what you feel we must know. I imagine such a situation is... complicated, to say the very least.

Perhaps we could have some time. [Myri suggests.] The little ones will want to stretch their legs a bit. And we can at least store our bags for the time being. [Myri still isn't sure if she's staying. She may need to sleep on it and see what her dreams say.]

We could all meet back in a few hours and share as much as we are able. [diplomacy 39]

[Sam seems to be behind this idea one hundred percent.]

It's not a bad idea. I think we're all a little tense and should come at this with clear heads.

[He might have ulterior motives too. Like talking about all this to Rose and his brother first.]

I suppose I can see where you are coming from. Down the hall to the right, you will find a wing that is abandoned. The rooms are sparse, but we have blankets to spare. Beds can sleep two if you're comfortable with it, otherwise I can rustle up some cots.

The largest fire is in the common room, if you get too cold. Otherwise, you're free to look around - all of our rooms loop around the hall we entered in, and to the left. I wouldn't advise barging in on people. There are only three others around, and they'll mostly keep to themselves.

You're free to take the stair down the mountain as well, if you'd like to see the village yourselves.

[While this was a moment, perhaps best suited for discretion... Rose crit failed her Will Save, the look of shock twisting her features before she can put the mask in place.

She stares at Alainn, long after the conversation continues, hurt and frustration, rather than anger tinging her expression before finally dragging her gaze away with a slight shake of her head.

It takes several moments before she can tune back into what is being said.]

Is it too much to hope that you have a training room in this place? [It's Rose. You all want to eat, sleep and unwind.... she wants to hit things.]

[ vi isn't sure waiting is the best idea. honestly she wanted to get everything out in the open on the plane when no one could escape so the idea of waiting longer makes her expression twist into something less than enthused but.

I feel like I'm gonna experience school for the first time with the mad scramble to pair up for rooms, that's exciting.

[Faith, for the most part, is the kind to just hang back and listen. She's been pretty chill to just learn what this group has really been up to and to get a feel for these people. She is here for the ride and not about to make waves. If this is the plan, she's gonna follow it.

All the things that have been mentioned: drinks, sleep, food, training -- they all sound good to her, but she can pace herself.]

I don't snore -- for the record. [She raises her hand, as if just making sure whoever ends up with her as a temp-roommate is aware of all the benefits. She also actually packed something to sleep in.]

[ he nods and she heads out after kat and fred, the latter of which pauses in the doorway just long enough to give a friendly punch in the shoulder of acknowledgment to charming ]
