krozna ♔ our wrongs remain unrectified
WHO || Failboat, Mikhail Kalachnik, ?? ?? [closed]
WHAT || The Ex-Knights of Failboat arrive at Krozna
WHERE || Krozna, Russia
WHEN || 2 days after LA
HOW || Actionspam or prose
Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return. With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane. Their destination? A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains. This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia. Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.
This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair. It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.
But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[She pauses as she tries to remember back to that mission that was so many years ago at this point, but it was traumatizing enough that it makes it hard to forget (wisdom nat 20).]
They were augmented in utero. They were kidnapping pregnant women and keeping them in medically induced comas to try and feed their experiment.

[In the metaphorical sense.]
The kids were just kids. They didn't know any better.
[And Felicity killed one of them. It's still one of those things that have stuck with her, even though part of her knew that she had to.]

Yeah, that was a couple years back. I'm not sure what the authorities did with the kids, but hopefully it was for the best.

[And that suddenly feels irresponsible of her. She should have followed up, but she was too busy trying to run away from her own extreme actions.]
I assume someone did, I don't think we ever wound up going back.

Hopefully we will.
[As much as going rogue is kind of what she does best, she also doesn't want to believe that they'll never be able to go home again. Then again, she also isn't 100% sure that they won't die in the process so ...
... who knows really.]
Until then, guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

[Mostly. There's a pause, and then she shrugs.]
I do a little bit of everything. But I was a thief before I joined up.

I knew a good deal when I saw it.
[Which is really what she thought it was, before she got invested in the people and the job itself.]
The Knights were doing good work for Shadowkind, and while I am not that, a lot of people I care about are. And Wynn had a lot of resources that seemed appealing so I figured why not give it a try? Trying something new never hurt anyone.
[Though those words don't seem to have the pep and certainty that they used to.]

[And then, just out of curiosity:]
How long have you been out here?

[A beat.]
Guess you're going to be waiting on an answer for that for a while, given the ... situation.
[The Wynn situation. She doesn't know Hasmed or Solace well, but given what's been going down, she doesn't think the status of the people in Knight Time Out are going to be high on their priority list.]

[She doesn't like playing is he or isn't he games. As far as she's concerned, this is Schrodinger's Wynn and right now he's both.]
But calling back knights in rehab is probably going to be pretty low on the priority list.
[It's cold, but it's true.]

[Not that she thinks what's happening is fair, but more that his assessment of the situation is.]
On the other hand, this may actually be the end of the world.
[And it would put a bit of a kink in getting him pardoned out of here. Not that he'd have anywhere to go if the world ends.]
