Sidelined from the mission that has been many of their lives for years, the group who had once stood against Keijen Blade has made a dangerous gambit - they've decided to leave the Knighthood, knowing they may never be allowed to return.  With them, have gone Sam and Dean Winchester, and Faith Lehane.  Their destination?  A distant monastery overlooking the village of Krozna, in the Ural Mountains.   This hidden location was home to many Shadowkind who did not wish to deal with the prejudice that their appearance might force upon them out in the world, particularly in Russia.  Wynn had apparently established a location here for Knights that broke the rules of the Knighthood so extremely to reflect upon their crimes, or for those whose powers made it impossible for them to live out in civilized society.

This monastery of misfits is run by a man named Mikhail Kalachnik, a willing exile who volunteered for the position, a man vouched for as trustworthy by both Jack Chessing and Finnick Odair.  It is here that the former Knights will set up a base of operations from which they intend to rescue Rafael Giovanni, research a way to stop Keijen Blade, and take him down once and for all, along with the evil Mind Master.  

But first, they must get to know the exiled Knights with whom they will be sharing this hideout...

[She nods, remaining quiet for a moment, stirring her soup.]

Would you like to sit? This is almost finished. I could make you a bowl. [She doesn't want to prod too much and scare the poor woman.]

[littlebeast]

[ she hesitates for a moment... and then nods gratefully ] I would like that.

[witchwoman]

[Myri's smile brightens and she turns immediately to make three bowls (because there's no way Amaranth would let her get away with not making him a serving as well.) She carries the bowls over, one at a time. The first, she sets in front of Sveta. The second, the leaves on the floor beside an empty chair. The third, she brings for herself and sits at the chair nearest her new acquaintance.

Myri is content to let a comfortable silence linger between them for a bit, as they enjoy the fresh meal. But after some time, she speaks up again.]

I haven't had much chance to explore. Are there any interesting rooms around here? Perhaps a space we can bring the little ones to keep them from disturbing the rest of you?

[littlebeast]

[ after a moment of eating the tasty soup, sveta seems to forget herself, grasping it in her hands and slurping it hungrily, and without any table manners. she wipes her mouth with her sleeve before giving myri a quizzical look in return ]

Unusual? Or... fun? [She shrugs with an apologetic sort of smile.] What do you do to occupy your time? I suppose we could start there.

[littlebeast]

Fun… [ don’t say that word like it’s a foreign concept, sveta ] I like to make things. There’s always a need for warm clothes.

[witchwoman]

That's lovely. Could you show me something that you've made? I used to patch my clothes while I was traveling but it's been years since I've tried. I don't think I'd know how.

[littlebeast]

[ she nods slowly, and then leads the way into a little room that apparently is her bedroom. it's cozy and a little cluttered looking despite her clearly not owning much. neatness doesn't seem the order of the day here. she moves to a trunk, opening it up, and drawing out a shawl, that is patched with grays and browns. the craftsmanship isn't particularly outstanding, but it definitely looks functional and warm ] There is this.

[witchwoman]

[Myri reaches out to touch the shawl, handling the fabric delicately and admiring it.]

It's lovely. Thank you for showing me. Would you be able to make me one? Or show me how you did it?

[littlebeast]

Have you never made something like this before?

[witchwoman]

Not since I came through the Veil. There hasn't really been time to stop and work on projects like these. I'm not sure if I really remember how. [She's not being entirely truthful. It's not a lie that she's super rusty, but she could probably figure it out if she wanted. But she likes the idea of offering Sveta a chance to feel good about helping someone else. She knows how nice that feeling can be. (bluff 21)]

[littlebeast]

[ she doesn't seem to pick up on it at least ] There should be plenty of time now.

[witchwoman]

Perhaps. I'm not sure how long we're staying put. But I'm the meantime, I would love if you could help me.

[littlebeast]

I can try, yes. I have never taught anyone before. [ still, she sounds excited at the prospect and goes to gather up some supplies ]

[witchwoman]

Wonderful! [Myri's face light up in a smile. She steps back to let the other woman move about the room however she needs.]

Would you like to work in here? Or would another room be better?

[littlebeast]

[ she hesitates as she begins to pull out all the things they'll need ] It is perhaps a good idea to stay in the public rooms.

[witchwoman]

Whatever you think is best. Here, I can carry some of that. [She holds out her hands to gather up whatever Sveta will let her take, but doesn't grab anything without getting permission first.]

[littlebeast]

[ sveta tries to hand her over some supplies but some of it snags on her fingers, which are basically... claws, and she grows frustrated as she tries to get it free ]

[witchwoman]

[Myri reaches out, placing a gentle hand on Sveta's wrist.] It's alright. Let me help. [Her voice is soft and soothing (diplomacy 32) as she reaches with her other hand to remove the snag.]

[littlebeast]

[ with a crit fail, sveta turns to stare at her with WONDROUS EYES as she touches her without fear and patiently helps de-snagify her ] ... Thank you.

[witchwoman]

[She has that effect on people.

Once the fabric is free from Sveta's hand, Myri doesn't let go, but instead cups it with both of hers.]

It must be frustrating, getting things caught on your fingers like that. [She's not about to call them claws]

[littlebeast]

[ sveta looks a little unused to the contact, her eyes dropping to their hands ] Sometimes, yes. I cannot do everything the others can.

[witchwoman]

Like what? [She doesn't let go of the woman's hands, but brings her attention up to her eyes.] Perhaps I can help.

[littlebeast]

It is difficult to even make the beds.

[witchwoman]

How long have you had them? [She is guessing that is isn't something she was born with. One usually finds a way to adapt if you've never known another way.]

You mentioned a beast inside. Is this part of it?
