Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland. They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward. There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.
The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.
This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

Rose - OTA ][ Winter: Following the events of New Orleans
No matter how she's feeling about everything, Rose will never be one to shut herself away. In fact, if anything? Their return to Krozna has seen an increase in the amount of training she's been doing. The snow not even enough to keep her from taking to the roof to work on her skills, and perhaps work through some of her anger.
What is a surprising turn, however, is that she's taken up meditation. Or more said, she's taken up trying to do so with limited success. It's the one time Rose seems to go out of her way to get away from everyone in Krozna, seeking out a quiet spot and trying to breathe and let go the way that Mikhail had shown her. If the occasional glowing Rose is anything to go by? Her mind is a little too busy these days to completely let go. ]
OOC
{ I'm narrowing this top-level down to the time shortly following New Orleans just to get a solid feel for where she is at in the wake of everything that happened. Rose will be generally easy to encounter around the place, either in the form of running, training on the roof, eating and to a lesser extent meditation. Feel free to hit me up if you have something specific in mind. It's worth noting she's in no way hiding that she and Dean got married/what happened at the wedding, she's just not likely to bring it up at random.
First night back
It's Rose she seeks out first, checking the common areas before making her way to the roof. Whether up there for training by moonlight or just taking in the quiet, cold night air, Myri is relieved to have found her.]
Thank the stargods you've made it back safe. [Every step they take now is dangerous. And the entire time the group was gone, it felt like a lump was caught in her throat, the anxiety taking up so much of her thoughts. Her voice is strained with emotion, as though the relief washing over her might be enough to make her cry on the spot. She takes a few steps closer, then breaks into a short sprint to rush to her friend, wrapping her in a hug.]
(ooc: if the rooftop setting doesn't jive for how you imagine Rose's first night back, just let me know and I'll edit)
emotions
It was the quiet, cold night air that had drawn Rose back up to the roof, the view doing little to calm the storm of thoughts that are swirling in her head. Her first instinct is that it must be Dean when she hears the door to the roof swing open, the inevitable conversation about where they went from here still looming from the night before. When she hears Myri's voice, however, a tumultuous swarm of emotions begins to riot inside her chest; unease at the possibility of telling her what had happened. Relief at it being somebody she thought might be able to understand. Guilt, at not being the kind of friend who had found her as soon as they'd returned.
Turning her back to the edge of the roof, Rose manages to muster up a smile that isn't entirely forced. Those warring emotions fighting for dominance in her face as her gaze falls upon the welcome sight of her friend. She'd struggled over the years with feeling like she truly belonged with this group, perhaps feeling that now more than ever but seeing Myri now? That look of pure relief as she breaks into a run is enough to make Rose choke on the lump that wells in her throat as she moves to meet her halfway. ]
'Course I did. [ Trying to force a casual surety into her tone as her arms wrap around the other woman. Rose's chest shuddering as she breathes in the comfort and familiarity of her scent, hugging her almost too tight for comfort. ] With barely a scratch on me.

Good. [The word comes out like a breath of relief. One less thing to worry about is certainly a blessing.] What happened at the auction? Tell me everything. [She knows that everyone is mostly in one piece, but that doesn't mean that she's not very curious to know the details.]
no subject
Honestly? It was a bit of a shitshow. [ Wanting to be honest more than she wanted to save Myri from worrying after the fact. ] There were a lot of them to, not enough of us.
[ She'd expected it, their being outnumbered, but that hadn't made it easier and as much as they'd needed to get out of there, Rose still felt conflicted about having to leave so many of them behind. ]
Isabella took the brunt of it... and Sam. [ Though Rose wasn't sure how much Sam had done to himself versus what had been done to him. ] Never thought I'd see that many bad guys all in one place, but no Blade or The Mind Master at least.
no subject
A silly thing to wish for, but after everything they've been through, the universe might owe them a big win.]
I know Rafael was in terrible shape. Thankfully, he should be sleeping soundly by now. I'll have to check in with Isabella and Sam to see if I can help them as well. [Her gazes shifts down towards the floor as she shakes her head.] I should have gone with you. Of course a healer would have been useful in a place like that.
no subject
Her face softens as Myri starts beating herself up, her hand capturing hers and giving it a squeeze. ]
We're always going to need you Myri but sometimes that means we need you to be there for us when we get back. [ She dips her head meeting her gaze and mustering up an encouraging smile. ] Besides, you were there. We had potions.
no subject
Well, I'm just happy you're all back, safe and sound. It's funny- I was starting to think it was too quiet around here. I think the Stargods are playing something of a prank on me for daring to have such a thought. [A small smile tugs at her lips. She's not upset about all the added guests, but she is a tad worried about how the residents of this place will adapt to the ever growing chaos.]
I did notice one of them sticking closer to Dean and Sam. Their father?
no subject
Uh - [ For a moment Rose isn't sure how to answer that. The truth, though accurate, also didn't seem right. ]
Bobby. [ A small smile curving her lips. ] He's close enough to one. They had a... very unexpected reunion.

second day back
He waits patiently until the door opens, his eyebrows lifting as he leans against the outside of the doorframe.]
I was gonna go for a run. You wanna come?
no subject
After a half second, he might catch the way a tension in her shoulders eases, as if she'd half been expecting somebody else to be knocking on her door. ]
Depends. Can you keep up? [ Trying to inject some humor, even if she doesn't fully feel it. ]
no subject
[Look, they both love him, but Sam is the exercise buff around here.
He takes a step backward out of the doorframe to let her through.]
I hear fresh air is good for you so I'm gonna try it out. Hopefully, we don't freeze.
no subject
That's hardly a convincing argument.
[ Brows raised, but it doesn't stop her from following him out the door as she loops a scarf around her neck and chin, trying to keep herself moderately protected from the elements. ]
Wynn couldn't have picked a nice tropical location for Murder Rehab.

[He's a good runner, okay. He does this a lot.
He zips his coat up the rest of the way as they head out towards the entrance of the building.]
He had to put it someplace that wasn't a vacation spot. You know, less friendly environment, less people around.

Anything would be better than London these days.
[ Rose setting an easy pace despite her bouncing impatience to move. ]

[He keeps up with her easily, his muscles warming up quickly despite the frigid weather.]
Not a whole lot of great memories there anymore.
no subject
Not sure there ever were.

His words see her shake her head, Rose lifting her shoulder in a dismissive shrug. ]
You don't need to. [ Finding a small smile for him. ] It's just good to see you back.

I owe you my life, and that won't go without acknowledgment ... even if just the once.

You look better. [ Physically, anyway. ]

Maybe you don't need to get back to your old self? You just have to, get to know who you are now.

Instead she looks out across the view from the roof, taking in the sights of a place she'd paid little attention to until they'd returned from New Orleans. ]
Who do you want it to be? [ Glancing back in his direction. ]
