[Earlier in the week all DRAKENET devices received a message announcing Francesca's birthday party, courtesy of Sir Bancroft, to be held the evening of July 11. No RSVP needed. It's especially good timing now that many mission groups have returned to the castle, at least for the time being.

As the guests make their way in, it's clear the party's been well stocked with food and drink. There's plenty of room for mingling and some music in the background. Gifts are completely optional, but welcome. Come in and get comfortable.]

Sorry. Mage is what they call it here, I think. Or Wizard or something. Whatever.

[He eyes her curiously.]

[He grins in a way he hopes shows he was only teasing. Speaking of being bad at socializing he just now remembers he hasn't commented on her appearance yet.]

Even if you were to have a few here and there I doubt they would take away from how beautiful you look tonight, Faye.

["You'd look nice even with warts!" Way to be, Morgan. Way to be...]

[Wow. That is some smooth talkin' there, Morgan. Faye's heard worse, though. Or... she must have, because she's not totally put off by his sort-of compliment.]

Oh, I gave up on them already. Your story is much more interesting than mine.

[He sighs theatrically before leaning back in his chair and grinning.]

Wayward witches are much more fascinating than socially inept grave-keepers from Ireland. Even ones who've dealt with magic on their own.

You know about magic? [She leans one elbow on the table, resting her chin in the palm of her hand (and probably creating an ample amount of cleavage, for those keeping score at home).]

I'd love to hear about that. I'm still sort of learning.

[Instead of admiring said cleavage Morgan's going to do the whole smolder thing as his gaze focuses on the table. What a beautiful tablecloth. Such nice fabric...]

Actually I'm rather new to it myself. [His eyes focus back on hers.]Have you figured out what you excel at?

That part was easy. [She says with a wicked smile before leaning closer.] I can show you.

[She picks up a napkin by one corner and says in a steady voice.]

[And from the bottom corner of the napkin, a small flame begins licking it's way up. Faye's eyes are focused right on it, watching with rapt attention.]

It's wonderful, isn't it? Raw power, energy. It's everything.

[He rests his crossed arms on the table and leans in to inspect the napkin more closely.]

And you discovered this on your own?

[Yes. It all does end. Eventually the flame moves up towards her fingers. She lets it get dangerously close before leaning in and blowing the flame out.]
