[Earlier in the week all DRAKENET devices received a message announcing Francesca's birthday party, courtesy of Sir Bancroft, to be held the evening of July 11. No RSVP needed. It's especially good timing now that many mission groups have returned to the castle, at least for the time being.

As the guests make their way in, it's clear the party's been well stocked with food and drink. There's plenty of room for mingling and some music in the background. Gifts are completely optional, but welcome. Come in and get comfortable.]

[That gets a grin.] I don't think anyone can play them all. Even if they have a lifetime to try. Plus, more keep coming out.

Well, I will just have to trust that you will find the best ones to show me. [She laughs lightly for a moment. After shaking her head, she lets out a content sigh and looks around, catching sight of Kat across the room. Myri turns back to Spike.]

I have news. Though I'm... not certain of it just yet.

Oh? [Is she going to tell him she's promoted now? He'll have to act surprised.] Do share.

[witchwoman]

Sir Kat mentioned making me a full Knight. It was right before we left for Chicago. I'm not certain if she even meant it.

She did? That's brilliant! Of course she meant it. [He grins at her.] You're amazing, you know.

[witchwoman]

[Myri ducks her head.]

I don't know about that. I'm fairly useless once the fighting starts.

[bigbad]

Like hell you are. Way Buffy tells it, you've saved her life a few times. That's the opposite of useless.

[witchwoman]

[She waves him off.]

That's after the fighting's done.

And it's far more important. Anyone can hurt, love. But you... you're a healer. That's special.

[witchwoman]

I hate to watch you all fight and know that I can't make it end any sooner, though. Do you know how frustrating it can be?

[bigbad]

I can guess. [He squeezes her shoulder.] But I mean it. You're amazing, love.

[witchwoman]

[She smiles a little.]

Thank you. So are you. I can't believe how well you and Buffy fought that beast, despite how impossible it seemed to hit it.

[bigbad]

Well, about that. [His grin sharpens, and now he looks a bit smug.] You're not the only one getting a promotion.

[witchwoman]

[Myri looks confused for a moment, but once it dawns on her, she lights up in a grin.]

Spike, that's wonderful!

[bigbad]

You'll come, right?

[witchwoman]

Of course I will! Dragons couldn't keep me away.

[bigbad]

[He grins at her, happy to hear her say it, but... ] Let's hope they don't try, shall we? I'd rather you showed up unroasted.

[witchwoman]

[She snickers at that]

I highly doubt they will. Wynn puts a good word in with them for each of us, after all.
