[Earlier in the week all DRAKENET devices received a message announcing Francesca's birthday party, courtesy of Sir Bancroft, to be held the evening of July 11. No RSVP needed. It's especially good timing now that many mission groups have returned to the castle, at least for the time being.

As the guests make their way in, it's clear the party's been well stocked with food and drink. There's plenty of room for mingling and some music in the background. Gifts are completely optional, but welcome. Come in and get comfortable.]

So... how's it work? Elves and dragons and stuff?

They're all different races, the same way humans or dogs are. It isn't a very difficult concept: the harder part is explaining where they come from. There's an entirely different dimension that exists on top of the one we live in, separated by the thinnest barrier imaginable. That's what we call the Veil.

Yeah, but I came through the Veil and... I'm pretty sure I'd remember that.

Maybe, maybe not. But there have been reports lately of people breaking the rules... People coming from what might be other dimensions entirely.

In theory. Which means more than ever, we have to be ready for anything.

Now that's definitely true. Wynn's rather forgiving, as far as bosses go.
