[This log is for any in-flight interactions on the Knight's private plane ride to the mission site. Feel free to make your own threads/threadjack, etc. The flight time is approx nine hours. Get to know your teammates, talk about the mission, ask questions, etc. etc.

Rafael will be meeting the Knight at the New Orlean airport, and Des is welcome to reconnoiter with the Knights back at the hotel!  Feel free to do threads for grabbing rooming buddies, etc. ] ]

[She grins big at Mark's exclamation.]

Would you like some?

[Also she totally doesn't notice that she's got whipped cream on her nose. Dawwww.]

Are you sure you don't want it all? [ he sits down next to her still and then stares at her nose, before clearing his throat and wiping at his nose to try to subtly alert her... ]

[witchwoman]

[She looks at him, confused, before realizing what he's getting at. Embarrassed, she wipes her nose off and laughs.]

I couldn't finish it if I had three days time! Here. {She hands him a spoon and holds out the dessert.] Have all you'd like.

[ he grants her a tiny sheepish smile, before letting go of his hesitance and grabbing it, nodding his head at her gratefully. ] That's -- that's really sweet. [ he takes a giant bite, and then mumbles around the ice cream ] -- and so ish thish. [ and then he immediately pinches the bridge of his nose, scrunching up his face ] Ahh-hhh too fast! Too fast!!

[witchwoman]

[Myri's smile drops as the pain washes over him. Being the overly worrisome girl that she is, Myri reaches out and puts fingertips against his temple, using her magic to take away the pain.]

Perhaps you should take it a bit slower?

[nosdacariad]

[ he slumps back, peeking one eye open as he continues pinching his nose and glancing around, as if waiting for the pain to come back. when it doesn't, he releases, and shakes his head vigorously. ] Whew! Er, maybe... a good idea. [ a sheepish smile ] Sorry. It's just always nice, you know, having a moment to remember what it was like to be a kid again...

[witchwoman]

[This is why Myri is such a good friend to keep, Mark.]

It is quite good. [She agrees.] I am most fond of this. [She scoops some straight up whipped cream on her spoon and eats it happily.]

It feels like I'm eating clouds.

You've eaten real clouds before?

[witchwoman]

[Myri nearly chokes on her bite of ice cream.]

No! [She giggles a bit more] I just think this is what it would be like...

OH. [ he gives an ice-cream mouth filled grin ] You know... you're probably onto something.

[witchwoman]

[Her face might hurt from smiling so much. Mark is too sweet and funny, and she just enjoys being around him.]

I just can't believe we stayed here for so long before and no one mentioned the wonderful things they can bring to the room.

I suppose that part's nice and all. But it's kind of nice to be able to go out and get your own stuff too. See the city, walk around...

[witchwoman]

[She thinks that one over]

I never know what to do in these cities. They're so large... What do you do?

[nosdacariad]

Well, there's dinner and dancing and clubs and stores, but really I kind of just like... sightseeing. And people watching. It's so neat to just see how people... live their everyday lives, you know, when they think no one important's around to care.

[witchwoman]

[She smiles and tilts her head slightly at him.]

Perhaps I should start doing that to try to blend in more.

[nosdacariad]

Why do you wanna blend in?

[witchwoman]

We're trying to work against a group that hates Shadowkind. Don't you think it's easy to tell how much I don't belong here?

[nosdacariad]

No, you're... you're right. [ he worries his lip with his teeth for a second ] It's the only sane thing to do, isn't it, when you're up against nearly impossible odds on their side. It'd be nice to be able to walk tall and proud and make a statement about who you really are and what you stand for, but we just... don't live in that world. Yet.

[witchwoman]

Yet. [She repeats] Where I came from, 'yet' was the furthest thing from my mind. Here, though? Here, I think it's possible.

[nosdacariad]

... It won't be easy. You could die trying.

[witchwoman]

You say that like someone who's come close to that very thing.

[nosdacariad]

[ he looks up in surprise, and then quickly ducks his head again ] Or maybe I just have a good imagination.

[witchwoman]

[Myri scoops up more ice cream for herself and eats it slowly.]

Why do you get so nervous when we talk like this?

[nosdacariad]

I'm just not a big... myself... talker. About.

[witchwoman]

Oh... [She's quiet, because... Well, that makes her uneasy to talk. She knows what that's like, but being here with all of them has changed that for her. So she's upset that Mark is still uncomfortable talking about himself.]
