The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[In the end he has decided against hair gel, because he's already feeling like he's dressing up as someone else just by wearing this suit.

Not that he can't pull it off well enough, it's not as if he's lacking in acting skills. He doesn't feel awkward, he just knows he's out of place.

Still, he doesn't look half bad all things considered.

He's smiling as he scans the room, looking for whoever will catch his attention and maybe even for whoever will manage to keep it for a longer while.]

[ he'd feel a sudden jab in the side, and upon looking down would discover a little red-bearded dwarf dressed mostly in his armor still from the ceremony, looking at him with twinkling eyes ] Congratulations, laddie. Are ye ready for all this?

As ready as I'll ever be.

[Which is actually still an honest answer. Maybe he should have actually pledged to honesty after all, it seemed as if he is getting the hang of it.

He discards the hair gel and runs a hand through his not at all tamed hair and gets up.]

I'm ready for a celebration, at least. Now, those, I was made for. Knighthood, I'm not sure about that. But thanks for your congratulations. I'm Reynard.

Just from hearsay, not by association. Pleased to make your acquaintance, Sir Dovan. It's an honor, I'm sure.

[He even bows his head and everything.]

I'm always in the mood for celebratin' - when there's no heads that need choppin off, that is! [ he lets out another whoop of laughter, ha ha ha murder is hilarious. :') ]

To survive, at any rate. Invite the most dangerous man for a drink, but stay well away until he's sober again and his head has stopped hurting.

Oh, it's been ages since I hurt a man while I was drinkin'! That I wouldn't have hurt when I was sober, at least.

I shall strive to never give you reason for either. Although the interesting question here would be whether you're more or less successful at hurting someone you want to hurt when sober. Because if so, maybe I should aim to always have drink readily available for you, just in case you ever do intend to hurt me.

I believe we've established the foundation of a very peaceful relationship here. Bit drunken, but that really just makes it better.
