The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Honesty is a trait Tybalt can respect. He has a habit of being a bit too honest at the wrong times, sometimes. Of course now he has to think of something new to say. Conversationalism. How is it done?]

I suppose no one is expecting you to do much fighting at a party.

[Because this is where his mind goes to. And yes, Tybalt is well aware not everyone is quite as old fashioned as he is, but he immediately thinks in contexts of how easy it is to run and fight in his clothes. He doesn't mean it to sound condescending. Really he doesn't.]

At least not in the physical sense of the word, though I do my best to avoid that at all times, really.

[Tybalt, on the other hand, would gladly get into a fight, any day and any time. He often did, too.

I was under the impression that this organization is about more than fighting.

Were you? That's interesting.

[Not that it wasn't. In fact, it very much was about a good deal more than fighting and Tybalt was well aware of that. But given his level of social skill-set the fighting was much more his cup of tea.]
