The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She pauses, head tilting slightly in intrigue.]

Depends on if you have anything worth betting.

[Gloved fingers brush her hair back from her ears, pausing a moment to showcase her earrings.]

I think we could make an arrangement. Besides my enjoyment at your loss of dignity from losing, what would I get?

[Blue really isn't her color, but the earrings look expensive, so she's okay with it. She holds up her left hand, offering a bracelet as her end of the deal. A wager of jewelry will apparently be the name of this game.]

[Red, not Lila's color, but she looks good in anything really, so she'll go with it. She's self aware enough to recognize that she'll wear it once and sell it so this chick can never get it back.]

It's a bet. [She delicately peels one of her gloves off and holds out her hand.]

[Faye reaches out and takes the hand to shake, because that is how deals are sealed, after all.]

[Lila wants nothing more than to just drop this girl on her ass with the worst nightmare of her life, just to teach her a little lesson about who to underestimate, but she's had practice hedging her bets with Cassel so she resists the urge. She can wait.

She pulls her hand back when they're done playing nice, tugging her glove back over her hand and crossing her arms. Her chin juts out a little, scars like a badge of honor.]

Zacharov, by the way. Lila Zacharov. In case you want to make a note of the girl that's going to beat you.

Faye Chamberlain. [She tosses back with another judgmental appraising look up and down the other girl.]

I'll make a note of who I'll be watching walk out that door when they realize they can't hack it. How about that?

[Faye just rolls her eyes and turns to walk off. She may not get the last word, but she'll be damned if she doesn't get the exit.]
