[ The Durere concert hall is absolutely packed when they make their way into the back after buying their tickets. Most of the people here have crowded the stage, although a few are parked at back tables with drinks casually procured from the bar. It's smoky and dingy and small, and the concert goers are arrayed in a variety of goth-looking ensembles: a sea of black and funky hair styles and piercings stretches out in front of them. The Knights look so abysmally out of place, it's almost funny. ]

Is there any sort of magic to track who sent it? [Look, as far as she's concerned, Kat's magic has no limits.]

[shootfirst]

Probably? But not any I can... actually do. [ woops. oh hey is that the sound of someone approaching the door o_o ]

[witchwoman]

[Myri is about to speak, but there's the knock, so he freezes. No really she's terrible at this. Instead of hiding, she just sort of... stands there (hide 5 wtf)]

[coldheritage]

[ kat doesn't fare any better, putting the rose back right as the door opens... revealing nadia standing there in the frame.

she directs a question at them... in romanian. o_o]

[witchwoman]

[Note to Self: Bring Gar along for all the missions not in an English speaking country...]

[muttered:] I really have to learn some language spells.

[coldheritage]

[ it's ok, nadia speaks up, albeit in a very thick eastern european accent. her eyes narrow slightly in suspicion. ] I asked who you were... and why you are here.

[witchwoman]

We wanted to talk to you. There's a chance you may be in danger. We're here to help.

[coldheritage]

[ she looks coolly off-put by the suggestion, as if it's not entirely surprising, but a little disturbing to hear from a stranger. ] Talk quickly.

[witchwoman]

[Myri lets out a quick sigh of relief.]

There are men here, dangerous men. They want to take you and force you to help them complete a sinister goal. We can help you get away, but we don't have much time. [She looks to Kat for assistance.]

[shootfirst]

We're talking mega-bad news bears here. [ nadia does not understand your references, kat :| ] These guys are evil with a capital E. And rich and powerful and ruthless so we need to make with the running.

[coldheritage]

[ she regards them both with an unshaken stare, seeming unaffected by the warning. her eyes flash momentarily to the black flower, which a spot of 12+ can catch. ]

... I know what men you speak of. But you are wrong.

[witchwoman]

[Spot of 17 means Myri follows her gaze and tries to piece it together.]

You've met them before? Talked with them?

[coldheritage]

Months ago. He said he would return... but he is forcing me into nothing.

[witchwoman]

Who did you speak with? What did he tell you, exactly? [She sounds worried. Maybe they're too late.]

[coldheritage]

[ something seems to close off in her expression and she looks a great deal less friendly ]

Enough to make me trust him. Which is more than I can say for either of you, right now.

[witchwoman]

[Myri's not a great diplomat. It's not that she doesn't know what to say, but she does get a little nervous (diplomacy 11).]

Whatever they said, it was a lie! [probably] They're dangerous people. We have to stop them... please!

[ wow kat ain't much better. even with mods her diplomacy check is a TWO. 8| she basically looks like she's gonna punch her, it's the opposite of diplomatic ] Look, you can't go with them. We're not gonna let you get mixed in with that evil crowd, and if you really want to, well, that's not saying much for your non-evilness either, you know.

[ she fixes kat with an unwelcome stare ] You don't know the first thing about him.

Get out of my dressing room.

[witchwoman]

[Even with her nerves, Myri knows how important this is. She straightens slightly, trying to look less uncertain than she is. Instead of being diplomatic, she switches gears to try to intimidate the woman, but it's... not a flawless attempt (intimidate 14)]

We can't do that. We can't leave before we know what they've told you.

[ it actually seems sufficient to make her hesitate in the doorway, although it doesn't do anything to undercut the hostility with which she now seems to be regarding their intrusion. ]

Is that a threat?

[shootfirst]

[ kat's eager to hop on that wagon, because, well, it's a more familiar one to her. so it's probably not surprising when she pulls her gun and fixes it on nadia, expression hardening (intimidate 17 + mod) . ]

Oh good. You're catching on. [ nadia stares at the barrel, and then at them, lips pressing together, but when kat motions for her to come inside and close the door, she does so, with slow, cautious movements. ]

[witchwoman]

[This isn't how she had wanted it to go, but at least it's working. Myri sighs and relaxes the tension in her shoulder slightly as the door closes.]

I had hoped it would not come to this. [Which is sincere. She looks from Kat to the gun, then back to Nadia.] My friend has a temper, as I'm sure you can see.

Are you planning to kill me?

[witchwoman]

[She takes a breath and tries to reason with the woman again, this time putting a bit more pressure into her attempts to persuade the woman to be forthcoming (diplomacy nat 20, 22 total)]

We only wish to talk. The men who have come from you are not what they seem. Whatever they have promised you is just a ruse. They seek destruction. If you do not come with us, it may be too late to undo the damage they have done, and if we cannot stop them, all Shadowkind will be in grave danger- yourself included.
