[ Whoa there. Yeah, hello. Been a while since anyone muttered anything against that particular part of his anatomy. Robin's book clatters to the floor, and he hurries to pick it back up as soon as Reynard is off him, checking it for damages. ]

Don't worry about it.

[ His tone isn't quite as forgiving as his words. ]

Really? Deer is quite pleasant, especially fresh.

[He grins and leans over to keep watching the game as well.]

But fictional slaughter is nothing to lose sleep over either way, I guess. Even for a vegetarian.

Oh? That's nice, I bet you can use the fresh air after all those dusty books. Horses aren't too fond of me, as a general rule, and I prefer staying away, too.

Depends on the fellow in question, doesn't it? If he likes to drink, if he likes the ladies, that sort of thing. Fastest way to sway a man.

Did I... break your book?

[His voice does probably give away that he isn't even quite sure how a book could be broken like this, but at least the apology isn't all insincere.]

This is why I prefer staying closer to the ground.

You'll have a hard time finding a better library to search than Wynnefalshond's.

I suppose one might ask some of the workers... but it might be difficult to do without raising suspicions as to our presence.

What? Oh, no no no.

[ He runs a hand through his hair and takes a deep breath, willing the grumpiness away. It isn't as if Reynard did it on purpose. ]

Sorry, I'm a little irrational when it comes to books. It leads to a slight lack of manners at times.

Don't worry about it. I'm a bit irrational when it comes to....

[He pauses, tilts his head and then shrugs.]

Always, really.

I suppose rationality is about as relative as anything else when you get right down to it in any case.

[ He lets out a bit of an amused huff. ]

And there I go, trying to sound clever again. Soon I'll start using big words too, you'll see.

[faeconman]

That's true. Every time I walk in there I feel like a little kid in a candy store. Provided that it's a kid who really likes candy.

I wouldn't mind at all if you did. Words were my first love.

[Reynard looks around for somewhere to sit down and finally ends up just sitting on the ground, legs folded under him and his hands behind him.]

Music was mine, but words weren't far behind.

[ Robin unfolds his legs to put his feet back down on the floor and leafs through the book to find where he was before he dropped it. Once he finds the correct page he makes a mental note of it and closes the book, since this little encounter seems to want to turn into an actual conversation. ]

[Her nose wrinkles a little bit.] I've never gotten a taste for it, meat. I don't know why.

[Violence on the other hand... she was good at.]

I can't believe there's an entire room of books just about dragons.

[Oh that is really distressing. First Finnick, now Belle. This is sad. Sad people without movies and audio books. She grew up in a place where Roman architecture and temples and fauns abound, but they had satellite.]

And yet you're wicked good at Tetris. Mhmm, definitely a genius.

I don't think anyone's ever called me that before.

[Vi shrugs. Little Tetris wiz kid, all the books ever, that's basically genius in her book.]

It is of course a sad thought that a lifetime might not be enough to get a look at them all. Well, unless one has a very long lifespan.

I suppose many who live at the castle do. Hundreds of years, even.

I'm an omnivore myself, but I reckon I could live without meat if I was provided with enough chocolate.

I'm pretty sure music would reject my love. I'm just fine with listening, but you really don't want to hear me sing.

I'd imagine you can sing?
