The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Thoster rubs his hands against the girl's arms for a moment, then pulls away and studies her. She's certainly gotten herself all worked up over the the boy, but who is he to judge? He's fought men and women alike for less than the two had fought in the ballroom.]

Between you and me, I always mean to cause a scene, but I'm not always very successful. You've saved me the trouble of failing, and I really do owe you for it.

[He puts a hand on her back, up between her shoulder blades and guides her down the hall.]

Come, lass- We'll get you some fresh air to clear your head. If that doesn't work, I'll find some ale to wash it away.

[Oh, all right. He doesn't have to twist her arm too hard. She wanted to get out and away from the ballroom and anywhere near Anthony, anyway.

She smiles a little more genuine this time, with a nod. A walk might help her clear all that anger out of her head.]

There's a girl. [Thoster says with an approving smile. He leads her around to the nearest exit to the outdoors, but it will be a bit of a walk until then.]

I suppose we can use this as that orientation sort of bit I'm meant to do with you, hm? [In all the craziness, did she remember that she had a Knight that would be monitoring her progress, helping her along?] Any questions so far? Besides the best places to sock a bastard like the one back there.
