The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She shrugs, nonchalant. Its not like Diana would need a name to locate her -- the Zacharov smile mades it hard to be anything but memorable. Even just as the girl with the scar.]

Lila.

[The good radiating from the other blonde makes her fingers clench into fists for a moment. She reminds her of Daneca. And fuck that. Those are decent memories, even tied in with the Cassel of it all. She would have preferred forgetting. But it bugs her, the reminder of her only friend -- and the reminder that she still isn't sure if they were ever friends -- and the annoyance turns outward instead of inward, the lift of an eyebrow and an unimpressed look.] Faye was right, the new squires do leave something to be desired. I'm having trouble deciding which one of you looks more useless... No offense. [She smiles sweetly, but doesn't bother hiding that offense probably should be taken.]

[Her mouth hangs open for half a second; she's in the middle of the requisite it's a pleasure to meet you that even a journey to some sort of alternate-earth can't suck out of a New Englander -- and then doesn't, because Lila's beaten her to it and she isn't sure how to respond at all.

So she shrugs, and does her best to be self-deprecating.] That's what all of the training sessions are for, I think.

[Oh snap. Well played, blondie. Lila arches an eyebrow and looks mildly impressed for half a second at Diana's quick thinking.]

Well maybe I'll look you up when you've had some then. [A grin flashes on her features before she turns on her very high heels and sets off without so much as a toodle-oo. Where is Eric, she wants to bug him.]
