[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this month.  Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[ aurelius opens his mouth to obviously complain, and edain steps up to charming and pokes him in the chest ] I said, step off and let me train him how I choose.

I'm not going anywhere. [Jaw set firm, he tenses his grip around his sword. He didn't sign up just to walk away from someone being bullied.]

Or maybe you want me to leave because you're afraid I'll show you up.

Well, well, pretty boy does have some bite. Care to back that up by showing the boy whether you're worth learning from?

[uncease]

[Charming steps back and takes up his sword.]

Ready when you are. [Because he's too much of a good guy to take a cheap shot at you, sadly.]

[oftheband]

[ grimly: ] 'm always ready, boy.

[uncease]

[Charming lifts his sword and moves to swing, a bit unrefined, since he's pretty pissed off right now (attack 15. if that manages to hit? dmg 5).]

[ edain releases a raucous guffaw, easily stepping back away from the blow. he swings a leisurely blow towards charming (atk 23, dmg 9) ] Have to do better than that, Precious.

[uncease]

[Better? He can do better. Charming grits his teeth and comes back with more force and drive, clearly not interested in holding back. (attack 25, dmg 7).]

You talk too much.

[ that connects, and he only laughs again, gleeful instead of bothered by the pain. ] Just keeping you on your toes. What's the matter, can't do two things at once? [ he slams down another attack (27, dmg 5), obviously enjoying himself ]

[uncease]

I though this was about teaching the kid. I doubt you're here to instill your wit. [Charming is really not doing a great job right now. He steps in and swings, but VERY NEARLY loses his sword in the process (rolled a 2, total 10 for attack).]

[ edain grins ferociously. ] He could do with a dash of my charms. C'mon then, you wanna fight me or are we just here to dance? [ he easily sidesteps charming and slams his blade against the back of his knees with the flat of it (called shot 28, dmg 6) ]

[ and at that moment, who should wander in but a certain beautiful sorceress... do you like how i added in a back-dated scene for us to cover post-sexy times here, i'm so sneaky. concern is writ across her features as she steps up next to the befuddled aurelius to watch. ]

[Oh ho~ You sly dog...

Charming catches sight of blonde curls as he moves after Edain's blow (spot 14), but he's a little too busy to stop fighting just because shit is about to get awkward. He's very focused on the fight, managing to land another blow as he swings to try to force the other man back (attack 23, dmg 4). He just can't seem to get the power behind the blow like he wants.]

[ edain steps back, the sword managing to hit him. from the sidelines, amara's hand twitches... and charming gets this cast on him.

[ edain heaves forward again abruptly, grimacing. (atk 24, dmg 10) ] Enough playing. Step aside.

[uncease]

[There's a strange feeling that washes over him, like he can go the distance, like he can fucking beat this guy.]

Who's playing?

[He swings his sword with amazing precision to cut his opponent down (attack 28, dmg 12)]

[ the slice takes edain entirely off guard and he staggers a bit, smile dropping into a scowl ] Well, there he is. [ someone ain't playing now (nat 20, 22 hp) ]

[besmitten]

[ amara's not done, and she waves her hand again, adding even more vigor to his limbs ]

[uncease]

[Even with his stalker girlfriend trying to lend him a helping hand, Edain's last blow brought him to his knees.

(Amara's first spell gives him temp HP equal to her caster level but... idk what that is. But that last hit put him at -8 of his normal HP so just let me know if he's unconscious or not....)]

[ her CL is 20 so... he's still up! ]

[Thank goodness! So with his remaining 12 hp, Charming doesn't think about slowing down because WHAT IS HOLDING BACK??]

You think you can bully someone just because you're given some sort of authority over them? What kind of Knight are you?

[He swings hard and fast in retaliation, even if his blows aren't landing nearly as strongly as his opponents. (attack 31, dmg 14)]

[ gurl's just getting warmed up. this time she targets edain... with waves of exhaustion (damn, spell don't even need a save o__o). which gives him a -6 to str and dex, so his AC goes down by 3...)

[ ahaha omg his next attack is literally a 13. sweat pours down his brow as he shakes his head against the encroaching weariness, and slowly swings... way too slow. between gritted teeth: ] A better one than you'll [ nrgh ] ever be.

[uncease]

[Charming side steps the blow easily.]

That so? Funny- you're the one not looking so great. [He brings his sword around again, not looking to show much mercy yet. This is about teaching an important lesson. (attack 25, dmg 11)]

Just yield and this will all be over.

[ amara steps closer behind charming and casts repulsion... which has the hilarious effect of making it so that EDAIN CAN'T APPROACH HER. and therefore can't walk any closer to charming. he struggles to move forward and grits his teeth against the invisible force.

luckily, charming can still move towards him. :) ]
