[ NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR FUN, FAYE. they head upstairs into a short, darkened hallway. a few elegant tables just against the walls, topped with vases, etc. christos skulks down the hallway, another dagger out in his hand that glints in the scant moonlight slipping in between two curtains in the opposite window. he listens at a few doors, before continuing down, silent as a phantom. ]

[ emma doesn't bother to stop along the hallway while christos does, because it's simple math: she had her shoes off in the foyer, which means they're familiar enough to be in either his office or his bedroom. those would be towards the back of the hall. she keeps quiet enough to listen as she advances to the end of it (nat 20 listen check). ]

[ lazily following all y'all, not paying attention in her fit of do not care. look, she's running through everything they know so she doesn't have to think too hard when they're threatening the mayor and his girlfriend, who is probs that hot badass from earlier. it'd be nice, two birds, one stone, she wouldn't have to introduce herself again... ]

[ as predicted, the mayor isn't alone - and as lila predicted, he's not alone with the head of the zoning board, elodie olympe, the blonde woman from the office. she wakes more groggily than he does, reaching for her black glasses from the dresser beside the bed, as he jumps awake, eyes wide with horror. it's she who speaks however, in French, so I guess christos doesn't understand it after all. /edits

"What the hell is this?"

christos steps forward and casually shoots a dagger through the air, that lands with reverberation in the dresser right beside her hand, causing her to draw it away with a gasp. ]

A candy gram. [ lila snaps it back in french, shrugging toward christos like what can you do, eh? she waves a little. remember me? MAYBE YOU SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN SO DISMISSIVE. she turns to the rest of them. ]

She wants to know what we're doing here. [ okay, so it's a rough translation. you can't expect her to be word for word. she figures that's the intent. ]

to the team she adds: ] We need to hurry this up, he's already threatening to call the cops.

I don't know what you said, but I'm betting it wasn't useful. [Is anyone really shocked that the witch who kicked the door in isn't in the mood to negotiate in multiple languages? Throwing a hand out, Faye shoots a cone shaped line of fire from her fingertips (burning hands - damage 9, reflex save 15 for half damage) at the bed and its inhabitants.]

anyways, here we go bitches. christos twirls a few more daggers in his hand, the twitching muscles in his cheek the only sign that he's ready to murder faye after this is all said and done. for now there's a mission to finish out and he's going to do what he can to salvage this train wreck and make it look like that was just... part of their intimidation routine. ] I wouldn't do that, if I were you.
