essen ♔ where not a single soul gets through

♬ rainbow factory - glaze
WHO || Sydney B., Andrew, Diana, Felicity, Sebastian [Closed]
WHAT || The Knights investigate a hacker friend of Andrew's who has gone off the grid
WHERE || Essen, Germany
WHEN || Jan 10th, shortly before 7pm [forwarddated]
HOW || Actionspam. Single thread, don't worry about maintaining tagging order.
The flight to Essen is very short, only about half an hour, and Sydney makes good time flying them there. Wynn has a car already rented and waiting for them as usual and then it's a short drive to the coordinates Lady Nell sent them.
While the neighborhood in question was once a very nice residential development, it now shows decades of neglect. There is a squat, one-story storefront across from what appears to be a riot control vehicle that appears severely battered.

[ He shrugged some, he wasn't too worried but he wasn't too confident either yet. He would steel his nerves before they got inside. He didn't want to miss out on the action.]

"Can I help you?"
[ before syd can even open her mouth however, a figure speaks from behind them in the lobby, one they could all be really sure wasn't standing there a moment ago. he looks male, and stands almost 6'6", his skin a pale, almost translucent white. he's dressed in a long, flowing black coat over a conservative suit and wears a puritan hat with a silver buckle. he folds his long fingered hands together and speaks, without haste, as if distracted by strange thoughts about them all as his eyes roam from one to the next. to their surprise, he speaks in english. ]
"Welcome to Discrete Disposal, ladies and gentlemen. We've been in business almost twenty years, and this is the first time we've had visitors from, shall we say, the shadows. What brings you to my humble establishment?"
[ sydney frowns, but without missing a beat, flashes the fake ID and adjusts her glasses. her nat 20 bluff makes a 36. ]
Actually, sir, we're from the government. This is a surprise health inspection. I'm hoping we can make this as quick and painless as possible.
"Of course, of course." [ he's quick to agree, though he's got an eerie little smile on his face as he stares at andrew. ] "Come with me, I'll show you whatever you'd like to see." [ sydney nods curtly and gestures to the door into the factory, and he turns to lead the way. the girl at the desk has already redirected her attention to playing flappy bird. ]

Felicity jumps at the fact that he comes out of nowhere and hopes that the surprise on her face is read as his sudden appearance, rather than the fact that her skin is crawling (will save 4). She's more than willing to let Sydney take the lead on this and only speak up if needed.
All the same, she heads into the factory after her, completely on edge and trying not to look it.]

wow i suck
"Recyclable waste is separated and sold - toxic waste, is of course, isolated. Biological waste goes below, and anything else is incinerated."
[ sebastian notices a thick triply-locked door, reinforced with many deadbolts against one nearby wall. ]

I HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM. [Or get a five on a bluff check and screech that out of nowhere. Whichever.]

You said you handle biological waste?

[ Sebastian said a bit gruff to try and take a bit of the attention away from Andrew, hands in his pockets as he followed the rest along. Still looking around and mostly just trying not to leave the girls alone with this creep. Hes hoping Andrew has the door without getting in trouble.]

creepy mcgee smiles emptily at felicity.
"We do. Are you interested in seeing how it's disposed?" ]
We would be, actually.

But she follows along, nodding after Sydney that they would like to see where the biological waste is disposed.]

For now he was staying silent and close to the women in case creeper tried a fucking thing. He may be a dick, but he had a job to do and that included making sure team mates do not fall to stranger danger.]

"After you."
syd takes the lead, moving down the steps, her nose wrinkling at the strange smell. a wisdom check of 10+ catches a whiff of it as well, and a check of 20+ identifies it as dead and decaying flesh. ]

Don't ask me how he knows that, though...]

"Do take your time looking around. I'm afraid I cannot assist you with my... guests."
with that, the door slams shut behind the last of them, and they hear a latch click. syd's head whirls around and she tries to yank it open in time, but to no avail. she looks around swiftly down the length of the mostly dark room. ] He's onto us. There might be another way out. But if Alice is down here, we need to retrieve the data she had on her--
[ before she can finish however, there's a low strange growling noise from the darkness around them. several pairs of eyes that glow like red hot coals flash at them from the black. two words issue from a guttural voice attached to one such pair.
"Fressssssh meaaaat." ]

Keep alart, this is not good. [ Being a Tieflings, he had the Darkvision already going. The first to come forward he managed to punch square in the face(STR 16; Damage 4), he made a disgusted noise at the feel of the flesh against his fist. That was gross as hell.
As one more approached he moved forward to swing out again. This one was not going to go down as easily. ]
