The flight to Essen is very short, only about half an hour, and Sydney makes good time flying them there. Wynn has a car already rented and waiting for them as usual and then it's a short drive to the coordinates Lady Nell sent them.

While the neighborhood in question was once a very nice residential development, it now shows decades of neglect. There is a squat, one-story storefront across from what appears to be a riot control vehicle that appears severely battered.

Plane Ride

Essen

[ the street is eerily quiet as they make their way onto it, the only sound they hear coming from a large red truck turning onto the highway several blocks away. it's easy to see not only the wrecked riot vehicle, but the demolished storefront as well. sydney parks the car and looks over at andrew in the passenger seat. ] This is the place? [ it's obvious that it is, but she wants to give him a moment to process. the scene doesn't look good. ]

let the devil wear black ♔ discrete disposal

[ discrete disposal's facility is a gray concrete building, about ninety meters square by about sixteen meters high. it is surrounded by a concrete parking lot, cracked and devoid of life; even weeds. on the side of the building they pull up to, there are 4 garage doors lined up along the right side of the building's face, and a small office visible through the glass windows and door on the left. the office is lit, and a strained-looking human in her 20s is apparently entirely absorbed in playing some game on her phone.

by now the sun has set, and the evening is silent as syd turns off the vehicle. ]

[ they pull up across the street from the address they discovered on alice, but the sight is not any more promising than the satellite view.

the building sits glumly across from a dilapidated park that is more dirt than trees, looking for all the world like an odd collection of giant boxes. crumbling red brick walls match the rusting metal sheets that cover what once were walls of windows. gang symbols all but obscure the images of horses left over from years long gone.

strangely, all the lights seem to be on, leaking through the metal here and there (spot 15+ will see). looking at the place fills them all with a strange, chilling sense of foreboding that they can't shake without a good will save (15+) ]
