It's Valentine's Day! All around people are happily snuggling up with their loved one or drowning their feelings in booze and/or ice cream. Give out cards or chocolate or commiserate with other single people! Whoo Valentine's Day!

[ jaina takes the casual memo to heart, and is wearing her customary jeans and leather jacket combo when she comes down the stairs. her eyes widen a bit when she sees the car and she smiles slightly ]

Is that yours or a rental? Either way, good taste.

[cuivre]

She's mine. [Every car lover needs a nice car, after all.] She's no rocket ship, but she goes pretty fast.

[He steps away from the passenger door, pulling it open as he does so.]

[flyingsolo]

[ she smirks and has a seat inside, scoping out the interior ] Can't wait to see.

[cuivre]

Then let's get the heck out of here.

[And he shuts the door after she's seated and moves to get in the other side, shifting the car into gear and speeding away (Drive 15).]

[flyingsolo]

[ a grin lights her face at the thrill of speeding towards the gates, which open for them, leading out to the open road and wide flat English countryside. ] Does she have a story?

[cuivre]

[And he's certainly going to take advantage of the topography. Twists and turns are fun, but open road is better for speed.]

My grandma left everything she had left to me after she passed. It wasn't a ton or anything, so I got something that, if worse came to worse, I could live out of.

[He peeks over at her.]

And hey, who wouldn't want to live in this car?

[ jaina smirks, running a hand along the dash ] Your grandma must have really liked you.

[cuivre]

Yeah, she did. I was pretty much the only family left that didn't suck, though.

[The lights of the city start to come into view as he drives. They'll eventually be stopping here.]

[flyingsolo]

[ she looks out the window with interest at the distant sound of zooming within ] ... A racetrack? [ you done good, boy ]

[cuivre]

Fastest karts in London.

[They go up to a whopping 50 miles per hour, which is probably nothing like her speeders from home, but it's the best he can do.]

[flyingsolo]

Well played, Cuivre. [ she smirks... and immediately unfastens her seat belt, eager to get in there ]

[cuivre]

I thought you might like it.

[Fortunately, they get lucky finding a quick parking spot, and he slides out of the car, locking it as he moves around it to walk with her into the park.]

[flyingsolo]

[ she falls into step beside him, looking around curiously ] There's still a lot I haven't seen on this world. Doesn't help that the castle's so far from everything.

[cuivre]

That's where the fast car comes in handy. I'm always up for leaving, if you ever want to see more of the city.

[He can feel cramped in the castle, no matter how big it is.

He walks with her slowly toward the counter, letting her take her time to look around.]

[flyingsolo]

[ she pauses, next to one of those brochures stands stuffed with tourist attractions, yanking a few out to look at them with interest ] ... Might have to take you up on that.

[cuivre]

Glad to hear it.

[He wanders up to the counter, holding up two fingers and paying the fee, grabbing the two helmets they hand over before and their tickets before he carries them over to where she's checking out pamphlets.

He hands one of each over with a grin.]

The next race is starting soon. We can pick out our karts, unless you wanna wait for the one after and look around.

[flyingsolo]

Why would I wanna wait? [ she grins and takes her helmet, backing up towards the entrance. ]

[cuivre]

That's the answer I wanted to hear.

[He grins, following after her.

In side is the start of the track, which is lined on either side of the road with karts, and though they're all red, each has it's own number.]

[flyingsolo]

Do you have a lucky number? You might need it. Just a warning.

[cuivre]

[He gives her a crooked smile, raising an eyebrow.]

Luck doesn't really help on the road very often.

[flyingsolo]

Maybe not, but if you're hoping to rely on outskilling me, you're in trouble.

[cuivre]

I never said I didn't like a challenge.

[Though he's honestly looking forward to seeing her drive. She's confident, and that's something he's super into.]

[flyingsolo]

I get the red one.

[cuivre]

Yellow is mine.

[It's also positioned right next to hers. He moves down onto the track towards the two cars.]

[flyingsolo]

[ she hops in, taking a moment to familiarize herself with the simple controls. ] Looks easy enough.
