[ nooo, she doesn't want to wake up, don't make her. except the scent does, in fact, get her to poke her head out of the blankets. and then sit up because holy shit that is a lot of flowers, did she fall asleep in a greenhouse, what is going on. so many flowers. leaning over she plucks one from the nightstand to bury her nose in, breathing deeply. ]

What is... I'm confused. [ look, she barely knows what month it is, let alone what day. /denser than a bag of bricks. ]

[ the bed compresses next to her under luthir's weight as he leans on it to press a kiss to her cheek, and then sweep another lone flower under her nose. and no, they're not roses, how cliche. they're all her favorite flowers. ] Good morning.

[ wow what if her favorite flowers were roses, huh? they're not, BUT WHAT IF. that's a shit ton of daisies though and she's gobsmacked at the sight of them all. it's worth mentioning that almost all of violet's favorite flowers are white so their room is looking vaguely funereal amid the burst of purples and orange. ]

Morning. Hi. What's going on... I'm a million percent sure I didn't do this while I was sleeping.

I heard tell it was a special day, marked to celebrate the one we love most.

What, my birthday? [ ...god, vi, get your shit together. (wis 10) ] Oh! Oh it's Valentine's Day. [ a beat. ] That's the day we met.

A fact which seems more prominent to me than a mandated festival of love.

Man, I was in love with you the second I saw you. It was ridiculous, my brain just shut off. [ her small smile, a rarity in and of itself, is a little on the sappy side. her brain still shuts off when he's around. ]

You seemed to be able to think quickly well enough, if I recall.

Mmm, yeah, I was kind of amazing, this is true.

You were courageous. It came shining through you like light. [ he scoops up her hand in his, settling beside her, with one leg hanging off the bed, and plants a kiss on the back of it ]

Pretty sure that was my abject terror or sunburn. [ hope you didn't forget how hard it is to compliment her... ] So you finally brought me flowers.

Hopefully enough to make up for all the times I did not.

Uh, I think you made up for the next ten years, actually. [ she glances around at all the flowers and smiles softly, shoulders drooping with a content sigh as she leans back against the pillows. february 14th, it seems, it always going to be a good day. ] You know half these flowers are poisonous, right?

Were you planning on eating them? I thought we might go out for dinner.

[ WELL YOU'VE GOT HER THERE. ] Out? Like, out out. Out in civilization for something that has nothing to do with Italian assassins and prophecies and... anything involving spiders?

Well, I suppose now I'll have to cancel the spiders, but yes. That's the idea.

Oh, that's cute. [ she makes a face and pulls the pillow from behind her head to throw at him. ] But yes, I think I'd like that.

[ she's got to wear those pretty clothes she and elena bought way back in july... ]

Well, we do have some time before dinner.

For what, spider wrangling? [ she's a laugh and a half. ]

Well. [ she does a little thinking... ] I have a Skype date planned with Felicity because I miss her deep in the depths of my melodramatic soul. We'll probably talk about you. And I have to get, like, pretty or something. But really, I am open to suggestions on what we can do between all of that.

[ he raises an eyebrow at the fact that she already has a valentine's date DOES HE NEED TO BE WORRIED HERE, but accepts it with a little smile and nods ] We might go for a walk in the park, if it weren't so cold. Or we could stay in, and enjoy the... flowers. I thought bringing spring to you might-- Be a welcome respite.

[ it's felicity. he'd need to be worried about that like he'd need to be worried about her having a date with finnick. her boos are lamps. lamps.

her nose wrinkles a little at the mention of the cold. she hates winter, man, she really wants to go to the park. :( ] It is. I miss spring. [ she reaches over to grab a pretty pink and white flower and wave it enticingly at luthir. ] Did you know that orchids are considered an aphrodisiac?

[ a playful spark comes to his eyes as they follow the flower, then look past it to her. ] A happy coincidence. [ OR IS IT ]

If you're trying to seduce me, Luthir, you really didn't need to try that hard. [ really. "hey vi, wanna bang?" would have worked just as well. ]
