What was supposed to be a night to unwind wound up with a confrontation between Failboat and Keijen Blade that didn't exactly go the way the team was hoping for. However, in the process, they at least managed to get Isabella back and extract Dumage from her long term undercover assignment.

The remainder of the night is spent back at the hotel, recuperating, in order to catch the flight back to London the next morning. This also means saying goodbye to those who will be going back to Chicago: Isabella, Burt, and Rafael.

[ buffy is comfy in the passenger seat, bracing one hand on the roof and the other on the dash as they skid to a stop. she throws the door open immediately when the vehicle slows and bolts out of it, trying to get a look at the others. des and gar can sass, buffy will leap into protector mode over teammates. ]

[Spike curses and shoves his way out of the car, running towards the water. That their cars had cut breaks is a bad sign, but his teammates drowning would be worse.]

[Des attempts to pull on the passenger side door to no avail. (str 13) This was clearly a much better plan in theory than in practice. He gives one more tug and surfaces for breath, still clinging to the door so he doesn't get carried away by the current.] It's stuck.

[ buffy swims down after these knuckleheads and heads to kat's side of the car, yanking the door open after des fails (str 18). she gives him a Look, then reaches out for kat to take her hand. ]

[ yay her swim check went up! to a 6. :'( so even though finnick is all up in her grill with his my little pony power, she's still kind of helpless. and buckled up. but much like kat, she points back at elena vehemently. ]

[ luthir yanks a knife off his belt as finnick rips the fucking door off its hinges, and then he's in there slicing vi out of that seatbelt with a few expert moves. aww yis. he motions for her to grab hold of him as he slides it away. ]

[ wow much agency very respect. jk buffy is on des' side - they don't have time for this pick who to save shit. she moves past des to rip the seatbelt clear out of the car (str 24), then loops a hand through kat's arm and begins to pull her out of the car. ]

[Elena can see Archer outside her window, trying to get her door open, so she throws her entire body against, shoulder first.

[finnick maneuvers towards the backseat like the sexy dolphin he is to help elena and — oh nope she's got it. except she's still buckled in like a fool child, so he reaches in to try and unbuckle the seat belt AND SUCCEEDS. (dex 11) saving elena from drowning in a puddle for the second time, son.]

[Now that everyone has done the hard work, Archer will grab Elena with a Str check of 21, and pull her up with a swim of 17.]
