The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Exactly. Anything else. [don't look into his eyes son it's like the danger zone. you're gonna get eye-fucked.]

[ oh he is so gonna do the thing. after a second gus decides to fuck any preamble. ] So are you a top or bottom? [ so casual. ]

[alex can appreciate the straightforwardness, okay. he's the one who's straight up like HEY LET'S HAVE SEX IN THE BATHROOM to people he's known for like ten minutes. which is why he responds without even missing a beat:] Oh, I'm a top.

[ there is only the slightest hesitation before he shrugs. ] Works for me. [ should he be coming on to a brand new squire? surely not. is he going to stop? surely not. he leans forward, bridging the small space between them, and puts his hand against alex's chest, palm running down his tie until he reaches the top of his pants, fingers skimming lightly against the waistband. he leans forward a bit more and just goes in for the kiss. ]

[it's ok gus you're just being part of the welcome wagon. THIS IS WELCOMING BEHAVIOR. he is down for this kiss. and anything more to follow. but eventually he breaks the kiss, grinning.] Don't you think we should continue this conversation somewhere more ... private?

Probably. [ look how much he cares. no one has come over to tell them to get a room, so. but all the same... ] Have you broken in your room yet?

Not yet. I've only been here for a few days, so ...

Don't mind if I do. [ they go to alex's room WHEEEE. he doesn't have a room assignment but i have horrible luck of the draw so i'm just assuming he got something ugly. (now that i've put this in a tag he'll get a nice room.)]

[ gus gives it a cursory glance full of how much he doesn't give any semblance of a fuck. ] Nice. [ is it though? is it? yeah, still doesn't care. because hey now look at that they found themselves some privacy. ] Mind reminding me whereabouts we were...?

I think we were right [he grabs at gus's tie...] about [and pulls him in close...] here. [and goes in for a kiss while his hands wander their way down to gus's pants and begin pulling them off.]

[ looks like a good place to be, he starts to work on alex's shirt. T E A M W O R K. and multitasking. this is a beautiful moment of multitasking. ]

[so much multitask. when they've got each other's clothes off, he pushes gus down onto the bed. i rolled to make sure he had lube (and condoms) in his room ok and apparently he did. always prepared, ok. IT'S GOING DOWN I'M YELLING TIMBERRRRR ♪

There are. [ don't judge him. he speaks the truth. ] Shouldn't you be getting ready for Andie's party? Faith was pretty serious about the everyone under-thirty must attend.

[ambitionist]

For one thing — I'm no longer part of the under-thirty crowd. Sad, but true. [he stretches out, putting his hands behind his head.] If you need proof, I threw out my back at the last party I attended a few days ago. I'm officially too old for fun.

[druidisms]

[ he chuckles, though he is surprised because alex doesn't look like he's over thirty. ] Guess we can't do this again, if you're too old for fun...

[he's only thirty so it's TECHNICALLY BARELY REALLY but alex does love to be melodramatic about this particular subject.] This is a completely different kind of fun. And it didn't happen in a bar bathroom.

Too bad. If you went I would have made a cameo just for the bathroom.

Nope, I am swearing off bathrooms. At least temporarily. For ... I don't know, the rest of the week.

Solid effort. [ he swings off the bed, starts collecting his clothes. ] This was swell, we'll have to do it again sometime. [ he will, unfortunately, probably check out andie's party to continue to big brother felicity. sans ridiculously attractive company. (helen's lack of penis is deplorable.) ]

Oh, definitely. [as he sits up, he starts to feel ... oh, what's that? blood coming out of his nose? of course it is. why is he even surprised. at least he got to get laid before blowback boomeranged around. he'll just cover his nose with one hand while looking around for his pants...]
