The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

You sound like I did when I stepped through those doors. [She returns the hug warmly.] I'm still catching up myself. We can do it together.

I haven't seen it happen yet, but that doesn't mean it won't. [She's happy to stroll along, squeezing Vi's arm tightly as they go.] But they'll be plenty of time for all that. You promised to tell me anything I missed. Every detail.

Uh... I accidentally drove the car into the Thames and almost killed Elena and Kat...?

Not on purpose, you know I would never. [ not with them in the car tbh. ] The break lines on the cars were cut and I don't know why I keep being put behind the wheel. [ even if she volunteered for this one. she doesn't actually like driving! ] Zoom, right into the river.

[ a beat. ] And then Elena kissed Archer.

[She's just gonna... let that second thing slide for now.] Someone cut the brake lines? Do you know who? Everyone is alright?

Everyone is fine. My car is the only one that went in the water. [ no surprise there. ] We don't, or at least I don't know who. [ she shrugs. ]

And how in the world did that end with Elena kissing Archer? I thought she had better taste than that.

Elena's taste is fine, Myri. [ /defends elena's choices 5eva. ] Archer dove in to rescue her. We were all anxious, panicky. It was a heat of the moment thing. But if he makes her happy then... why not.

Actually it was a series of more catastrophic catastrophes. It went horribly. There were spiders. It was basically the worst ever.
