Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden. The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat. Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria. It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth. It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[ glomp. projectile bride hug coming atcha. she wraps her arms around elena from behind without even letting her get up from her seat. ] Hi Elenabanana! Mmm I'm so glad you came. [ squeezing intensifies. ] It would have been crap without you even though Kat made me take that dumb picture. [ that she is going to frame tbh. ] And you helped, Benedict Arnold, but ugh it wouldn't have been the same without all us freaks and I'm just glad your here and I love your face. [ aaaaannnnnd she finally takes a breath. someone's add has been a little bit effected by the massive quantities of cake and soda she's been inhaling pretty much since they cut the cake. the "holy shit i just got married" high might have had some sort of effect as well, we just don't know. ] I have a new last name, isn't that weird?

[Elena catches her well enough not to get plowed over (str 12) so yay for that.]

Hey, the picture was cute and it's over and you'll get to keep it forever. Totally worth it.

[She gives her a smile for her benefit, but it sure looks real (bluff 37).]

I'm guessing it would feel a little weird, though, yeah.

[ vi's been faking happiness for so long that while she doesn't recognizes the fake smile, she can't help being worried about the youngest failboater regardless. she's not as aggressive in her ARE YOU OKAYs as kat is, so she simply gives elena another squeeze. ] The upside is my name no longer means purple flower, so it's less super lame.

[Yeah, Kat literally dragged her outside in her attempt to be like ARE YOU OKAY.

This was much better. She'll still insist she's fine, though.]

She's a good kid. Anyone that sticks up for you is aces in my book. [ she smiles and shrugs a little. she's easy okay. like a friend slut. ] Friend of yours is a friend of mind.

She was one of those rare few that knew me, you know, before everything.

Everything. [ she mulls over the word for a second. ] Everything, which has made you no less incredible and beautiful and good. [ just reminding you again, boo. at first she isn't going to push, but it's her wedding, she can do whatever the fuck she wants. ] Elena. I love you. And I know that you're worried about what people think of you, but let me let you in on a little secret. What Kyp did was awful, it was beyond awful. But what he did in no way reflects on you. If anything, it highlights, obviously, how much you are not like him. You may be the same species, but your choices prove again and again that you are good.

You don't look at me and blame me for every bad thing Blade has done, do you? Different names, but we're the same thing, childen of gods. Do you get what I'm saying? No one but you dictates who and what you are. I know there have been whispers, but I was on desk duty for three days straight -- trust me, it's more good than bad. Like how lucky we are to have you. [She knows Vi's trying to cheer her up, to prove to her that things might not be as bad as they seem, but Elena knows better. Or thinks she does, it's hard to tell.

What people say and what they think are not always the same. It's Vi they're talking to, someone who loves her, and that's not going to be the person they voice their concerns to.

But she's not going to disagree with her, because it's her wedding day, and she's not going to fight about this. She's fine. She just has to convince everyone else.]

That sounds just fine. [ actually... she wouldn't eat it bc vegetarian, but it's the thought that counts really. her little boo has her back. dropping a kiss on the top of her head, she moves back. ] I should go find my husband and do wife type things, like, I dunno, make him make me a sandwich.
