The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[The grin he flashes her is shameless and also still adorable. Jerking his head to gesture her to follow him, Stiles heads back out for the dance floor. He promptly proves that he's not a complete spaz and turns to face her, pulling off some smooth moves like he was born to dance (perform dance.. nat 20..???)]

So how long have you been here? [Dancing AND talking at the same time? He's an overachiever right now.]

A year and change. [ she's not as banging at the dance moves as him, but she ain't bad. (dance 16) plus she's super pretty. she should get points for being super pretty. ]

Chewie's been with me for a while. Since before I met the knights. We keep each other company.

[He glances over at her as he grabs some whiskey and pours some into a glass.] Where I come from, we've got sonic showers. Much more efficient when you're in space for months at a time.

[Han looks up at him slowly, an unimpressed expression on his face. Sure, he's been away from the castle for a while now, but he can't be that unrecognizable.] No. Are you?

Once more unto the breach indeed. [ his wry smile is two-fold: given that not only is he dating again, but... dating the same person. ]

I think that indulging that attitude without cause for suspicion is a dangerous path to tread. We can't afford to suspect one another without cause now, when they're working so hard to tear us apart from the inside out. Strength and faith in each other is what will carry us through this.

That's not to say I'm not taking precautions of my own to make certain that what you're suggesting is not true.

I was a referral. The Atlanta PD was wary of hiring someone who doesn't exist, but the Knights didn't have the same reservations.

[ the Doctor is basically a bag of limbs all somehow strung together that 90% of the time manages to somehow stay upright, it's no surprise then that the smack takes him off guard and he somehow manages to fall on the floor from it because he apparently crit failed staying upright?

The grin on the Doctor's face is in truth far too wide than her compliment warrants. Not that that fact makes much of a difference, it's there all the same. His hand lifts and touches the edge of the hat, pushing up the brim a little.

[She giggles and vanishes, then comes back with her own plate of food. Look at her patience. She managed to keep it all uneaten. Then she joins in his awesome dancing (dance 10) with her own plate of food. Except hers lasts about forty five seconds before her plate's empty. Well, she tried!]
