The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

It's kind of weird. Good weird, but... I just didn't expect her to be here. [He glances over his shoulder to find her somewhere across the room.]

I guess that would be weird. [ she certainly didn't expect will to be here. especially because... she was already there and will showed up after she did. though he'd probably been there longer than her, but recuperating... she would commiserate, but she still doesn't like telling people she's not native to this world.

she probably should have told will, but it didn't come up in their reunion, ok? and he didn't give as many fucks about perception as abigail does. ]

Yeah. Anyway- I guess it's good that we both have people. Helps make it less new kid syndrome around here.

I've been here for a month already, I'm not sure new kid status is going to go away anytime soon.

Guess it depends on how long the squire thing lasts. Do you think they'll make us polish their armor and hold their lances. [pause] That sounded less like a medieval themed porno in my head.

Probably, they have them in the training room. Are you sure you want to use a sword though? They're not very practical.
