The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ dubious cat. ] But I don't... fit anywhere. I don't do magic and I don't heal people. [ tho tbf the main interaction she's had with the dragon's light is solace so the poor lamb assumes it's all magic, all the time. ] I'm not good with people [ yes, honey, you are. ] and I can't fight really well and I didn't even go to college. The only marketable skill I have is keeping serial killers from murdering and eating me and I'm not even very good at that.

You know, in our line of work, not getting eaten is a pretty marketable skill.

[ she tucks her hair behind her ear and makes a face. ] If you tell me there are serial killers in the dungeons I will not think twice about throwing you in front of me. You have more muscle, you'd taste better than me.

I was talking more about horrible monsters in the field, but uh. Thanks.

I would probably think twice before throwing you in front of a horrible monster. [ probably... not. look, her survival instinct doesn't involve teamwork yet. but fred is sort of cute and funny and he keeps being kind to her. no, she would still probably be too survivalist to let his adorable smile play much of a part. didn't work for alana. ]
