Talk about a soiree.  The team has walked into what is clearly legitimately a Gatsby party, but with an Indian flair.  Even upon approach, it's easy to see that this place is without parallel:  people are driving cars right up on the lawn of the fabulous mansion, which looks half-modern and half like a palace out of a Bollywood film.  Men and women in bright colors, fabrics, beads and silks move inside en masse, and as the doors are opened before them, they can see the grandness of the interior, with its diamond garland, draped fabrics, giant jeweled elephant statues, indoor trees that arch to the ceilings, twirling dancers, and a tall dramatic staircase leading up to a balcony above where the host himself reclines surrounded by admirers and friends, smoking a cigar.  

Liquor flows freely, and food is carried around on golden trays through the crowds.  It's an overwhelming buffet for the senses, a dizzying spectacle of color, laughter, dancing, and entertainment.

Getting sucked into a blinding white light is kind of how this whole mess got started for him in the first place, but whatever. [ Well that was new. Could have been worse, he's travelled by vortex manipulator, and that can be really nasty stuff. Still, his instinct is to turn and check everyone is there, and that they're all in one piece. ]

[ she nods at the wall, where there's an elaborate shelving system full of tiny little bottles that are filled with glowing liquids, all labeled in russian. ]

We should've been given waivers before agreeing to this shit, I swear to god. [he looks vaguely miffed ... but no, he's still fine. he glances at the various bottles ... then at the doctor.] Can your magic screwdriver or whatever zero in on Natasha now that we're closer?

[ The Doctor notices that look (spot 15) and glances down himself as though expecting part of himself not to have made the journey. But no, he's all there thank you very much. And oh good, he's being spoken to to, he can focus on that instead of indignantly putting his hand over his crotch. ]

What? Oh. Yes. Yes it'll be a doddle. Should be able to pin point her exact location. That's the easy part, it's getting to her that might be the tricky bit.

I'm pretty sure the only real risk was catching a digital STD considering what ninety percent of the net's composed of.

[ meanwhile, she just clucks her tongue at alex, barely suppressing a smile. ] I don't know, do you have any uncomfortable itching you'd like to report to the class?

[he rolls his eyes, and, sarcastically] No, but I do have a very strong urge to give all my money to some Nigerian prince.

[ she wheels her chair in a reversal so that she can look over the asgardian ] ... I take it Wynn wasn't being uncharacteristically poetic when he said 'thunder god' after all, huh.

And he's probably kinda a little bit above your usual pay grade too. I'm just saying, if you're going after a deity, maybe you don't want to go empty handed. I've got some potions that can probably help.

Oooh. Invisibility would be cool. Or stronger! I like that one. [She's already got everyone else beat on fast.] And definitely healing would be good. Unless someone here's a cleric and hasn't mentioned it. [She looks over at new Alex because they don't know much about her, then over at the Doctor because come on, DOCTOR, he has to have some healing spells, right?] How bout something that, like, lets us see through illusions? Is that a thing? [Cause she could use fake Lokis not being a thing.]

A potion of true seeing? Yeah, no, though maybe some day. Here's the menu. [ she types for a few furious seconds, then turns the screen around to display a list. ] The Academy will freak if too much goes missing, but I can probably snag you nine or ten total. Order up.

[he peers over at the list, when something catches his eye and makes him comment —] You have something that removes curses?

[panaceum]

[ she shoots him an amused look ] As long as we're talking real curses and not the curse of too-much-hotness or something, then yeah.

[he shoots her an amused look back ok.] Yeah, no. I've got a friend with a problem. Unrelated to this current impending clusterfuck.
