The night has not gone as planned.

With the help of the unicorn Nick Starkweater, Faith O'Keefe used her dreamwalking powers to take Violet and her new husband Luthir into Vi's dreams to face down the shadow remnant of Malaak'a that had consumed her nightmares and prevented her spirit from returning to full strength with the return of spring. Keijen Blade's warning, however, that such an attempt would end in blood, proved true: Luthir gave his life to allow Vi to do what must be done.

Meanwhile, the 'reconnaissance' mission meant to gather intel on what Keijen Blade was doing at his concerts went south when several of the team members fell prey to Blade's compulsion. After almost prompting Archer and Rose to commit suicide onstage in front of an eager crowd, Blade let the team walk out with their lives, which was almost as unsettling as the power he'd displayed in controlling such a large mass of people.

No one is really in the mood or shape to take a flight that night, so it's crashing at a hotel for the Knights tonight.

Some people might need the sleep, while others may be less than able to get any. Feel free to single-thread tag what your character is up to at 4AM or so.

[ archer stop that :| faith pulls out her own phone and dials wynn, handing it over to rose. ] Here.

[It's brief, but Rose actually manages to dial back her rage long enough to offer Faith a look that somewhat resembles gratitude, nothing however will stopsher hand from shaking as she holds the phone to her ear.

She doesn't even offer a greeting or tell him who it is when he picks up, just blurts the most important part out.]

You need to check the dungeons. Now.

Yeah [Archer crows sarcastically;] Check the dragons, too!

[Archer nudges Klaus.] Get it? Heh...

[Klaus is distracted long enough to look down at the spot where Archer's elbow came into contact with his person, then back up to him like peasant boyyy, now is not the time. He can only assume at this point, given he's heard one end of a conversation. But it's likely that shit is going to hit the fan.

Why does he always befriend the special needs kids tho.]

[Eavesdropping is going to be pretty easy from here on out as Rose paces back and forth in the middle of the room, expression tight as she keeps her ear glued to the phone and successfully ignores Archer's existence.

She nods.] I spoke with Dim - Sir. Belikov to tell him about - [Nope. Not going there.] He thought I was in London, that the Mission was pushed back. He said I told him.

[Spike freezes. Dungeons. Rose being somewhere she couldn't possibly be. And Buffy still wasn't picking up her calls. He'd wanted so badly to think he was just being paranoid.]

Bloody hell. We've got to get back to the castle now. And somebody call Elena.

What the hell is going on? [ tia looks between the gathered ] Does someone want to give the non-impressionist rundown of what's happening?

[Rose is just going to keep up with her conversation and generally infuriating all of you by talking to Wynn and not you guys. Sorry.

She stiffens at something she hears, her pacing almost coming to a halt as tension radiates through her body but she needs to keep moving just to keep from exploding.]

This was about ten minutes ago, fifteen maybe I guess. [She's about to say something else but stops herself (Will Save 18) and goes in a different direction.] I don't know where just, a Hallway in the Castle I... [Smashed a perfectly good phone in a fit of rage.] Called you before I could really get much else...

Sounds like the doppelganger's on the loose again. [he sounds fucking thrilled. and, with equally as few fucks in his voice:] I don't know what us catching the next plane back would help.

Wait, the same doppelganger? How'd it get out of the dungeon?

[Rose's brow furrowed as she curled her free hand into a fist, fingernails biting into her skin as confusion, hurt and anger all made their way across her features.]

She - [Scowling.] It. [A sharp breath.] It had Elena with it.

No. [myris voice is small.]

Elena wouldn't- No something's happened.

Except it sounds like that's exactly what she did. She's one too, isn't she? They knew each other?

[Lol, guuuuuurl. This is not the group in front of which to be throwing Elena under the bus. He's just going to ... hope that Tia picks up on this while he tries to fucking preempt any possible conflict that may arise over loyalties. When did Klaus go from popcorn.gifing to cockblocking his own entertainment tho.]

I doubt throwing around accusations will help matters any, all things considered. [This group might make Keijen's rabid fanbase look like the lollipop guild, and Tia has proven to be the most competent person here so he doesn't want her to get the shit end of the stick from a bunch of fuck ups.]

This is ridiculous. [Myri goes to grab her phone from wherever Rose abandoned it for Faiths and dials up Elena.]

Maybe he's with Elena because he's bloody obsessed with her and makes a habit of getting close to her while wearing other people's faces.

[Yeah, Spike's still pissed. He shoots Tia a glare for the implications.]

[Predictable as fuck. Just sayin'. Klaus is taking the bottle of scotch from Archer to pour himself another glass.]

[Now Rose's control is slipping again, what feels like a storm brewing in her chest and her heart felt as if it had been coated in thick black tar, weighed down by every word that passed her lips.]

She - apologized to Dimitri for taking up so much of my time and then It told him not to wait...

[She grew very quiet, her words dying off as she blocked one ear, trying to drown out any voices in the room and strained to listen to a conversation happening on the other end of the line. (Listen 24)

Rose doesn't even try to hide it, the anger that overwhelms her at whatever is being said and she finds she can't make herself have this conversation any longer. Rose thrusts her hand away from her, holding out the phone to whoever was willing to take it (No seriously even you Archer).

At first it looks like she might leave, then not, then finally the Dhampir walks straight up to the nearest wall and sends her fist flying into it, letting out a grunt of pain and anger as her fist (Atk 16 Dmg 15) goes straight through it.]
