In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[ Tia sneaks a glance vi's way ] I think we're all feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. We'll head back to London after we get some rest.

[ she looks to brendan ] Speaking of overwhelming, maybe just a couple of us could stay up to... answer the questions I'm sure you have.

[asuma]

Well I, for one, certainly don't intend on sleeping. [Not so long as Rose, Spike, and Archer are all allowed to walk around unsupervised.

Besides, and let's be real, he was probably the least emotionally invested person here. Because he didn't really give two shits about ... anyone.]

[craic]

[ Brendan lifts a brow at Tia, and laughs, a quick, good-natured chuckle out of the broad pit of his chest. ] I think I could come up with a few.

[graveflowers]

[ yeah if anyone thinks vi is sleeping after a year of being conditioned to be afraid of closing her eyes? no. even if she doesn't get god fueled nightmares it's not like she's going to be able to rest peacefully after watching luthir turn into a shadow, okay? this time her life is the nightmare. but without another word she trundles to her room. ]

[moonheart]

No offense, but I'm wiped. [ she heads towards her own room, waving a hand ] The grown ups have got this. [ faith, you're in your twenties, what. ]

[bigbad]

[Spike shrugs a shoulder.] I'm nocturnal. I don't mind staying up a bit longer. [And tbh Klaus doesn't seem like the best resource on the Knights. He's kinda sketch.]

[witchwoman]

[Another night, Myri might have offered to help explain. But she's exhausted as well and has a lot of thinking to do to sort out exactly what just happened back there with her magic (also bitch needs sleep to replenish her spells just in case /unsure face)]

You'll be in good hands with Spike. And I'm sure the rest of us could assist with any further questions you might have in the morning. [She offers a smile that's partly apologetic. It feels odd to not be so gung ho about being a welcome wagon. But she's going to head off for bed now.]

[craic]

[ He casts a slightly disappointed look after Faith and then tips a salute to Myri before looking back to Spike and Klaus. Klaus a little more curiously since apparently his hands are not good ones to be in. Mental note as he takes up a more comfortable lean, arms crossed against his chest. ]

So you're some sort of magical knights? Like King Arthur and all that?

[bigbad]

Funny story, he's actually part of this. [Though who even knows where he's gotten off to these days.]

[craic]

Course he is. [ He nods along with another chuckle, not even quite incredulous because unicorn but just sort of nonplussed. ] So this is what knights do these days? Fly about trying to stop evil gods mind controlling metal fans?

[asuma]

[With none of Archer's alcohol left, Klaus is left to raid the mini fridge as the only other alternative means venturing back outside and attempting to find an open liquor store--which may actually be difficult at the moment considering the mass suicides that just took place down the street.]

We also have parties. [Lots of them. It seemed pertinent to add that part.] Those are pretty much a constant.

[But, back to more important matters--] Can I offer either of you gentleman a drink?

[craic]

And parties? I can work with that. [ He scrapes fingers through the messy mop of his hair, scratches at the back of his skull, and flashes Klaus a smile. ] Just the one?

[ It's partly joking, and he shrugs one shoulder as he nods. ] I'll take whatever you've got in there.

[bigbad]

[Spike shrugs and nods at Klaus.] Yeah, why not. Don't need to be sober for the Q and A portion. It's not really about the parties. Least, not for those of us who are usually away on missions. More of a fighting evil sort of thing. Helping those who find themselves on the wrong side of the veil and such. Or fighting 'em, if it's necessary.

[asuma]

[Klaus tosses them both a few of the little bottles. You get what you get, bitches. Feel free to specify, while palming a couple for himself and then standing to move back towards one of the empty seats.]

He's right, where are my priorities? Fighting evil and defending the innocent, with parties. [Smile. Seriously though, Spike. Why are you downplaying the parties? They were trying to recruit this guy, weren't they?]
