In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

We'd spoken once or twice. [Like those two times Klaus ever bothered to visit the firing range or something, but beyond that Luthir was just another face in the hallways to him.]

Formalities, really. [He tucks the fantasy artwork away in favor of reaching for his drink. Because he wasn't going to be sober for the duration of this flight--not flying with these people ok.]

Klaus. [Really, doesn't anyone among you have manners tho.] And you are?

Dean Winchester. [ hey, someone who's not gonna cry about it, so he can at least ask questions. yay. ] So who was the guy?

[Was it rude to refer to the recently deceased as cannon fodder? Probably best that he choose another approach to answer Dean's question, all things considered...]

Well, apart from the obvious-- [Unless Dean lacked the perception to realize that Luthir was one of their own by now] --he was Violet's husband. They two of them were just married, in fact.

[ he glances towards the back, at the girl he'd had a brief convo with ] Yikes.

Yes. Quite the unfortunate circumstance, I'm afraid. [He says this like he's delivering a company line because he really has no ties to either of them, and thus is ... not very affected by the loss.]

Has anyone bothered to fill you in on the less personal aspects of this whole situation?

Double doppelgangers, one who worked with you guys before she turned traitor, and some kinda involvement with the Prime Minister of Andres Isle.

[Klaus smiles at Dean's assessment of the situation with Elena. Because it's amusing to him.]

Seems you're all caught up then.

Still seems to be some pieces missing.

Well, there was that Keijen Blade concert turned mass suicide.

[Because that was a thing that just happened. Big hit on the news. Otherwise idek if Klaus knows anything else about the dopplehunt and Andres Isle business.]

What the hell's a Keijen Blade?

A singer, if one can call him that. Apparently he enjoys utilizing his lack of talent to entice his more weak-minded fans to pledge their undying devotion to him by taking their own lives. [And that would be Klaus throwing shade at Spike, who can probably hear this conversation. Klaus hopes so, anyway.] Though you'd think that sort of defeats the purpose of the whole undying devotion thing.

[He leans in a bit closer, like he's about to share something super sekrit with Dean but really ... it's Klaus so he's just throwing out more shade, even if it doesn't have to do with anyone on this plane because shit talking was fun yolo.] But, just between you and I, he needn't really bother with the psionic compulsion aspect. The music itself really is bad enough to drive people to seek their end all on its own.

Most crap is that they try to pass off as music these days. [ ain't even gonna argue with that ] And he had something to do with what happened in New York? He told those people to kill themselves?

In so much as he sang to them while planting the subconscious suggestion that they do so into their minds, yes.

No doubt he's using his songs as the method of spreading his psionic influence. during his live performances As for the specifics of how exactly, you'd be better off asking our resident telepath.

So I'm gathering. [People tend to want to share about the good experiences and he can read between the lines.]

Just be sure and remember that sweeping generalizations seldom take into account those few who have proven themselves entirely different than what you might expect.
