In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

The prospect of children always seemed sort of ... well, at home, you knew what they were going to go through once they reached a certain age, so I was wary of it. [he shrugs.] But things are different now. And even if you can't bear children, that's okay. If we really wanted them, we could adopt.

I can't imagine trying to do it right now. [sorry vi] But... I think I might want it later. You'd be a good father.

Me either. [then he smiles a little because:] Really? You think so?

[witchwoman]

[She nods, relaxing a little because this is nicer to talk about, imagining him as a father.]

Yes, but you'd probably get them into trouble. [She's just remembering coming back to a pillow fight between him and Vi. Actual children.]

[he just laughs softly.] Maybe. Lucky thing they'd have you around to get them out of trouble.

[witchwoman]

Hmm- I might just leave you with all the trouble, though. [she manages a slightly teasing tone.]

Aw, come on, why would you do that? Parenting's supposed to be a shared effort.

[witchwoman]

Hmm- I could possibly be persuaded to help you. But you would need to be very convincing.

Are you certain? You might be losing your touch. [/aggressively teases him to pretend like things are closer to normal.]

[he puts his hand over his chest and feigns shock.] What? Why?

[witchwoman]

[She gives a little shrug, the corners of her mouth fighting back a smile.]

You could always convince me that's not the case.

What if I did this? [he leans in to kiss her. (charm 26) ~SO CONVINCING~]

[witchwoman]

[there we go- that's what she was getting at here. Her hands reach up to touch his face, holding him to linger a moment longer than he maybe intended. Her will save is a 22 but he makes her weak in the knees without trying so that was a given.]

That could... [words, myri. use your words.] Yes.

I knew it. [big grin. and then he goes in for the kiss again. awww yeah.]

[witchwoman]

[She almost protests, but he's kissing her again, and really who would ever ask him to stop doing that? Not this girl. It's not the right time at all to be making out, but Dean is banging a girl in the bathroom on this flight so fuck the haters basically.]

[umm they're engaged they can make out whenever they want ok!!! FUCK THE HATERS. also they are a million times classier than dean winchester just saying.]

[witchwoman]

[Being classier than Dean Winchester isn't really that hard, though. Very important brackets while make outs happen. Eventually she breaks away again to breathe, laughing lightly.]

You know, I wonder if I should be concerned by how convincing you are. You'll get away with anything at that rate.

Hmm, you had better not. But there's a fair amount that wouldn't be quite considered evil. I've got my eye on you, Odair. [Her teasing is further confirmed as she leans in to kiss him yet again. She likes kissing him okay. If she didn't, she probably wouldn't be planning to promise to kiss only him for the rest of her life (because myri doesn't subscribe to the vi school of free kisses for everyone).]

[whatevs, finnryi kisses are all that matter.] That's exactly where I want your eye. Both of them, really.

[and then they made out some more and lived happily ever after until the next time something awful happened :'( ]
