In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[ Wow Stiles don't expect miracles. Lydia's gaze flickers between the air traffic controller and the guard. ]

Well? We're gonna need a minute.

[ Out loud, she thinks: I think getting US out of here at this point will take a miracle. You should really, really go. The guard moves further into the room and puts a hand on her arm, ready to drag her away from Kowalski but she's already standing stubbornly. ]

[ She pulls her arm away. ]

I don't know what he told you, but this is a restricted area, lady. You can't be here.

[I can't just leave you here!! But she's right. If they catch him there, they'll know that her story is bogus and then things will get even more complicated. So he just thinks a quick be careful at her before slipping out as quietly as possible (move silently 19) out from around the door and out of the room. He will just quietly walk down the steps of the tower.]

[ Yeah the guard's listen check was 5 so he's good to go. Lydia puts up a fight for a moment longer, until Stiles is out of sight, and then ... also makes a strength check of 5 to try and get away from the guard. That's just not going to work. But when she's moving in the direction of the door, he lets her go and starts heading that way with her.

Meanwhile the air traffic controller has still not managed a will save higher than Lydia's charm check. ]

[ She straightens her back, turns and flips her hair as she heads for the door. The security guard rolls his eyes but pursues. The guard down with Jaime only got a listen 14 so he also does not ... notice Stiles coming down btw. ]

[And I guess Adam, Lila, and Sylar are all waiting for them over by where they hijacked that luggage cart before Lydia literally crashed it into a wall, since Adam is listening to this hot mess go down and probably relayed everything to Lila and her boyfriend.]
