In less than twenty-four hours, everything has turned on its head.

A Knight and her allies were kidnapped by Iscariot agents for execution in Rome, barely escaping with their lives.

A mission meant to free one Knight from the influence of a dark god succeeded - at the price of another's life.

A simple recon mission at a Keijen Blade concert nearly led to two Knights committing mind-controlled suicide in front of an eager crowd.

Several Knights went to see Draken Crombe, leader of the Church of the Lord's Humanity, speak in person, and learned just how sinister his religion's dogma is.

A call from Sir Hathaway alerted Wynn to the escape of the doppelganger from the Knight's dungeons, an escape perhaps aided by Elena Gilbert.

A demigod interrupted what might have been a simple smash and grab retrieval of an artifact.

And most horrific of all, in the middle of the night, hundreds of Shadowkind in New York City awoke, and walked in a mindless trance down to the Hudson River to drown themselves. Only the quick thinking and combined efforts of the Knights present and their allies prevented all of them from succeeding.

Beset on all sides, a dark time awaits for the Knighthood - who were already suffering from the capture of Dragon's Claw Sir Thomas Bancroft at the hands of their long time enemy Dimitris Sarandis of Andres Isle.

In times such as these, the light can be difficult to find. Hope itself seems somewhere just out of reach.

[Han smirks and shrugs a shoulder, meeting the man's eyes and rolling his.] Whatever you want, dear.

[ Waiting with a sour, impatient look that is not at all a lie. She's keeping her mouth shut in the interest of not making this harder on them. ]

[Suddenly! Helen Appears down the way of the long front desk, slamming a hand to the counter.]

I need the room number of that bastard Crombe! [LOUD NOISES!! Intimidate 31 so she is looking really angry. Which is the point, right?]

[The guy at the desk jumps (will save 13) and stands up suddenly. "S-sorry, we were warned something like this might happen. Nothing to worry about, I'll just..." he trails off and swallows, clearly not all that excited to go face the scary lady, but there's no one else at the desk, so he walks over to talk to Helen. "We can't just give out guest's numbers, ma'am. It's against policy..."

Meanwhile Han just kind of siiiidles over (move silently 11) and starts poking at the keyboard. But he's pretty damn good at the poking (use computer nat 20).]

[ francesca's suddenly at helen's side, assisting her intimidate with one of her own (intimidate 28) ] We're going to find him one way or another. How about you make this easier on you and help us out. [ yeah, that was a threat right there ]

[The front desk guy tries to find his backbone and nearly gets there (will save 19) but it's still not enough to go up against these two scary mother fuckers.

"I could lose my job, miss. I can't just... Perhaps I could show you to the lecture hall. Some of his colleagues might be there still."

Helen gives a quick look to Francesca before nodding.]

Take us. Now.

[They needed to get the guy away from the front desk and to cause a scene? Well, this was half the battle.]

[The man looks torn, but nods, grateful to have this out. "Follow me," he says, and starts away from the desk.

Meanwhile, Han glances up and realizes he probably should have waited for them to finish their distraction before he started, but thankfully, the guy's listen check of 11 means he hears Han quietly using the computer. He turns back towards them, an expression of doubt on his face. "Hey! What are you--"

Han grins.]

Just making a restaurant reservation. You don't mind, do you?
