[Myri was terrified climbing into the giant beast and nervous during take off, but once she realized that they were flying the girl was glued to the nearest window. Her grin cannot be contained

Beside her, Amaranth's tail swishes in a delighted fashion as he also gazes at the clouds outside.]

[slay]

[ Buffy, seated a row behind her, stands up to lean over the seat, grinning at Myri's reaction. ] So, are you totally spazzing right about now, or what?

[witchwoman]

[She whips her head around to smile at Buffy]

I've never imagined such a thing would be possible.

[And she cannot deny that a part of her feels so right to be in the air like this.]

[slay]

Is it really any wiggier than the microwave? I mean, cooking without fire. Who'da thunk it? [ She's teasing, of course. She reaches over to pet Amaranth in the seat beside her, glancing past her out the window, then smiling down at the cat. ] Modern convenience at its finest. And when I say finest, believe me. Usually one one of these things you're crammed in like sardines and barely get breathing room.

[witchwoman]

[Amaranth purrs loudly, nuzzling into her hand.]

Magic can simulate fire. But to fly? Oh... it is truly a wonder.

[She finally collapses back in her chair, not smashing herself against the window for a moment.]

It's almost enough to make me forget where we're headed.

[slay]

It'll be okay, you know. [ She frowns a little, but finds a reassuring look despite it. ] Wynn wouldn't send us on anything we weren't ready for.

[witchwoman]

Perhaps not anything you're not ready for. I'm not nearly as strong as you.

[slay]

Hey. I don't believe that. [ She moves around the seats, and lifts Amaranth up so that she can steal his seat, allowing him to curl up in her lap instead. ] Just because you're not gonna be entering any strongman competitions or turning Goliath inside out, that doesn't mean you aren't strong. Myri, I saw you with Arthur. You gave everything you had to help him, and you didn't even think twice. You have so much strength in you. And, given enough time, I think you'll start to see that too. [ She smiles. ] To be honest, I think you're stronger than I am.

[witchwoman]

[A slow smile drifts over her face. She averts her gaze at first, but eventually turns back to Buffy.]

Perhaps we are both strong... in our own way.

[slay]

Which is why we'll be just fine. Besides. Gar might get everything we need from her undercover gig. Chances are, we won't even get to see any action.

[witchwoman]

For everyone's sake, I hope you're right. I don't want anyone to get hurt.

[slay]

Well, if they do, we've got you around in a pinch. Right?

[witchwoman]

[She laughs a little.] So long as it's only one of you at a time.

[postergirl]

[Dumage observes the girl from her own seat for awhile, taking in her enthusiastic smile and giddy fascination with a critical eye. Finally, she speaks up:]

I quite like your hair.

[witchwoman]

[Myri turns and smiles at the woman, one hand reaching up to comb through her long, pale hair.]

Oh. Thank you. Yours is lovely as well.

[postergirl]

[Oh hey, someone who knows to return a compliment with a better compliment. That'll earn a pleased expression from Dumage]

I take it you've never so much as seen an airplane before?

[witchwoman]

[Myri responds with a wider smile and shakes her head.]

Sir Kat told me about them. I still have a hard time believing that this is not some youngling dragon that we are traveling within.

[postergirl]

... Well, I for one am rather glad we're not riding around in a massive beast's intestinal tract. For a number of reasons.

[witchwoman]

They say the Stargods came to my world in the belly of a dragon.

Still, it's the closest I've come to flight beyond my dreams.

[postergirl]

If I were ever a god, the first thing I would decree is only first class travel for all deities.

[witchwoman]

[She laughs]

I've grown quite used to walking. But this is wonderful.

[postergirl]

Yes, we certainly are full of modern marvels around here.

So what exactly is your... area of expertise?

[witchwoman]

[Myri fusses with the hem of her shirt for a moment.]

I'm a witchwoman. A healer.

And you?

[postergirl]

I suppose you could say I'm part of our people skills department. [Frightening, isn't it.]

[witchwoman]

[Very] Oh. So how does that play into our mission here?
