[rationalizes]

[Gar sits two seats from the front, numerous books sprawled in the seat beside her, looking fully wrapped up in one or another of them throughout a large portion of the flight. Tiny glasses perch on her nose and her lips move slightly as she reads to herself, oblivious to most of what is going on. Unless of course, you come bother her.]

[witchwoman]

[Myri was terrified climbing into the giant beast and nervous during take off, but once she realized that they were flying the girl was glued to the nearest window. Her grin cannot be contained

Beside her, Amaranth's tail swishes in a delighted fashion as he also gazes at the clouds outside.]

[slay]

[ Buffy, seated a row behind her, stands up to lean over the seat, grinning at Myri's reaction. ] So, are you totally spazzing right about now, or what?

[witchwoman]

[She whips her head around to smile at Buffy]

I've never imagined such a thing would be possible.

[And she cannot deny that a part of her feels so right to be in the air like this.]

[postergirl]

[Dumage observes the girl from her own seat for awhile, taking in her enthusiastic smile and giddy fascination with a critical eye. Finally, she speaks up:]

I quite like your hair.

[witchwoman]

[Myri turns and smiles at the woman, one hand reaching up to comb through her long, pale hair.]

Oh. Thank you. Yours is lovely as well.

[ Buffy finds her way to a window seat near the middle. She drops into it a peers out, smiling brightly. ] Check it out, flyin' in style. [ She whips her head around to look at the other passengers. ] Think there'll be an in-flight movie or something?

[bigbad]

[A few hours into the flight, Spike puts down his book and walks towards the front of the plane, staying towards the middle of the aisle where the light from the windows won't touch him. When he reaches Buffy's row, he stops and turns to face her.]

We've got to talk.

[slays]

[ Buffy glances away from where she'd been staring out the window to look up at him, glowering. She pushes the window shade all the way up so that it casts enough light on the seat beside her that Spike can't risk sitting there to corner her. Or, well, more than he already has her cornered. ] Disagree.

[rationalizes]

[Gar looks up at the question, casting a friendly smile back Buffy's way] If you'd like one. There is a screen installed. I hardly think anyone would mind, as long as Kat's finished studying her spells.

[slay]

... Kat studies spells? You mean, she doesn't just ... [ There's a brief punching gesture. Look, Kat was the embodiment of all things violent. There was solidarity happening. ]

[This is not Spike's optimal flight time. He would really prefer an evening flight. But he's taken a seat towards the back of the plane and shut all the windows tight, so he's all right for now.

He has a battered old book of some 19th century poetry. He sets his seat to recline as much as possible and starts reading.

He's figured out that he really likes poetry. He's not sure what that says about him, but at least it means he's got something to read on the plane.]

[Welp, Dumage is going to come pester him, after his little tiff with Buffy, because she overheard everything since they came back to the shady corner. Yeah, not so much privacy on an airplane, guys. She sliiides into the seat next to him, ostensibly leaning down to look at his book cover]

Drinks blood and has a softer side. I'll bet that drives the women wild. [She smirks, and gestures with her head up towards Buffy, raising an eyebrow at him with evident curiosity] Though apparently not always in the best way.

[bigbad]

[Spike groans, dropping his book and covering his face with his hands.] Not you too. [She doesn't seem to be particularly upset about it now, but here it comes any minute now. 'How dare you lie blah blah blah.' He'll never make any friends he gets to keep.]

[Like Gar and Spike, Martha's hanging out with some books, too. In her case, it's some books on Shadowkind and their role in this world, as well as a few basic books on magic and how they work. She's got a notebook, too, and she occasionally writes things down to try and help her keep things straight. She's such a huge nerd, guys.]

[Eventually, Myrilandel pries herself away from the windows and gets up to move around. She spots Martha with her nose in her books and steps closer.]

Have you learned much?

[Martha looks up from her books and smiles at Myri.] I'm still trying to understand the basics of magic and...things like that. We don't have any magic where I come from, just technology - it's rather like this world, only different.

[rationalizes]

[Dis is why Gar loves you, Marfa. She'll smile down at her as she makes her way back up to her seat after having a chat with Kat.]

[Martha is clearly the best squire. Sort of.]

Questions that don't involve the logistics of dragons mating with humans, you mean?

[She smirks, amused. Look, Gar being flustered was kind of hilarious.]

[Dumage sits near the back as well, not seeming to mind when Spike snaps shuts any of the shades. Right now she'd idly filing down her nails, glancing out the window and looking bored out of her mind.]

[Kat's got out a tablet, fingers flying across the screen readily as she works on something. Who knows what. She seems pretty restless overall, however, and keeps peeking around to see what everyone else is up to.]

[witchwoman]

[Myrilandel somehow ends up in the seat behind Kat at some point. Her long fingers lightly grip at the seat, pulling herself up to peek over the headrest to get a look at what Kat is doing.]

Stargods... [She breathes as she watches Kat work magic on the device.]

[Spike isn't as easily wowed as Myri, but he still thinks the tablet is pretty cool. And he's too restless from his fight with Buffy to really focus on his poetry. So he leans over to try and see what she's working on.]

[Mark's got in a pair of headphones and is bobbing his head to the beat, occasionally making beat boxing noises.

A listen check of 17 or more and a pop culture check of 12 might be able to identify the tinny sound coming out of his headphones as Britney Spears music.]

[Even if she heard the noise which she didn't, there's no way that Myri would have been able to recognize the song. But this strange man is making stranger noises and she's as curious as ever. She tilts her head and looks at him with a great deal of concern.]
