[ The teleportation spell brings them to a chilly, but recognizable destination. Though it isn't exactly the same as the city that Natasha may recall, the Kremlin is impossible to misidentify, and that's precisely where Loki is headed.

Natasha's free will is returned to her the minute they arrive, leaving her slightly disoriented, and potentially questioning why she had even listened to his demands (pending a reasonable wisdom check). They touch down 500 yards from the front of the Kremlin. ]

[David manages not to make a face at the sass (will save 17) and just keeps following Alex like he knows exactly where he's going - even though he doesn't. Eventually, once they're out of earshot, he'll drop his voice and turn to Andie.]

[ Despite some sincerely odd looks from the other guards, the party makes it to the door of the presidential suite, finding it closed. ]

[ The Doctor, thankfully, though wearing a silly uniform, still has his trusty screwdriver with him. He pulls it from his pocket and steps forward, zapping the doorway, which should unlock the door as long as it isn't somehow deadlocked. ]

[David is! He slowly pulls the door open, trying to see what he can see through the door before actually moving into the room where Loki is (spot 16).]

X( besides ... tone and body language and the fact that he sasses everyone all the time. anyway. alex is going in, too. and choosing to look for the decanter instead. (search 17) until loki comes out and sticks his dick in their faces i guess.]

[ He's seated at the throne behind his desk, with Natasha standing at his side. Five guards stand throughout the room, and the decanter is nowhere to be seen. The guards do not let Alex get past the entryway, stepping in his way as he tries to move around the room to search. ]

Ah, the Knights arrive.

[ Loki grins upon seeing David. ]

You received my message.

[ He glances past them surreptitiously, scanning faces. His grin drops and he stands. ]

And you've come alone.

[David sees that attention on him and looks completely non-plussed. Are you supposed to bother him? Because you really don't (bluff 20 total).]

Who else would we come with?

[He's also not going to bother to ask what message, it doesn't seem important right now.]

Perhaps I'd merely hoped for greater planning to go into this rescue mission of yours. I'm certain Natasha hoped for the same.

[ He looks back at her, folding his arms behind his back. ]

Or perhaps she really hoped you wouldn't come at all. Interesting, isn't it? That it isn't her call that brought you here.

[Yeah, it is super interesting, but that's something they'll hash out later. When this is done and David can yell.

Right now, however, he's casing the room, his eyes looking for windows and exits before they fall back to Loki again (spot 12). It's not a lot of time but he's hoping to glance some kind of entrance for Thor for when they give him the signal.]

I work better on my feet. Makes me less predictable.

There are two doors in the room—the one David came through, and one off to Loki's left/David's right, far in the back beyond the guards. Along the back wall is also a large pane window. ]

[He'll tip his head to the window, more for Alex or the Doctor's benefit but he'll make it seem as though he's just being a smartass - because he's going to be.]

You liked our plan for the decanter enough to hijack it. I seem to remember you waiting for us to make our move before you even tried.

[ Though that does get Alex a second look. ]

[And David hopes that Alex is sending that text message, as his brow furrows a bit.]

[HE'S TEXTING OK. but he got a sleight of hand 5 so it's probably pretty obvious what he's doing. oh well. at least his txt speed is like 500 wpm. he texts thor and tells him to come in through the window. he can do that right????] Or we could just throw out the whole damn board.

[ well Loki didn't crit fail, so he saw that. ]

Are you familiar with the phenomenon experienced by war veterans? Many of them report that old battle wounds flare up when the weather's shifting. A matter of barometic pressure, you see. [ He paces around the desk, coming to a stop about ten feet from them, gaze landing on Alex. ] Well I have this knife in my back that tells me when a storm's coming.

[ He pulls a dagger very suddenly from his belt, and before a word further can be uttered, he flings it at Alex (sneak atk 22, dmg 27 w/penetration). The dagger buries itself straight through Alex's hand in his coat pocket, and into his abdomen, pinning his hand there. That's what you fucking get.

[ mercy - hurts

a crack of lightning appears outside the window to illuminate the heft of the blade in alex's hand. with an 18 strength check, Thor comes crashing the window, electricity sparking in the air around him, running up the length of his arm and crackling about Mjolnir. he lands on the ground beside david amid shattered glass, and raises his head to glare at loki, hot rage thundering in his eyes. ] Your rule here ends, brother. [ crashing through the window was his move action, so he's going to throw Mjolnir as his standard (atk 36). if the hammer hits him, he is knocked backward 100 feet. if he hits a wall before the 100 feet are up he takes 1d6 damage/10 feet he would have kept going. i'll let you decide how big this room is :) the hammer strike itself does 35 + 7 electricity damage.

that was his surprise round.

he follows this up by charging after loki, and as long as the room ended somewhere within 80 feet, he'll make it to him. he'll expend another mythic point to make it a fleet charge and grant himself another attack, catching mjolnir as it flies back through the air towards him and then swinging it at loki's head (atk 43, 32 dmg + 8 electricity dmg). this is followed up by another swing (atk 35, 27 dmg) sorry bro... ]

[ About that.

The room is a clear 100 ft. across, but Loki is about halfway through it, standing dramatically in the center of the room (50 ft. from Alex, 20 from Andie).

Or so it appears.

When the hammer slams through him, however, he isn’t knocked back: he’s destroyed in a burst of light. Fifteen feet to the left, he reappears, unharmed (courtesy of 1 mythic point), and whips his head around just in time to make smug commentary— ]

Ah. The cavalry.

[ — and catch a hammer to the face to take the full damage of Thor’s follow-up attacks. He staggers back, dazed by the blows but still standing (fort 24). Reaching up, he rubs his jaw and lets out a dry chuckle. ]

Always leading with the hammer. I do believe father hoped you’d outgrow that.

[ Holding out his hand, a gust of cold air swells in it and gathers in a cloud of whispy frost, forming into a dagger. He stabs forward the moment it’s formed (heroic surge to get an extra standard action), plunging it into Thor’s abdomen (atk 21, 19 penetration damage + 7 cold damage). He leans in close, sneering. ]

[ thor is so sexy, that was almost worth it.

almost. because OH JESUS. he doesn't scream, just makes a gaping dead fish face. the pain. he feels it right in his abdomen. he doesn't pull out the dagger (yet) because he knows that's an awesome way to be a quentin tarantino extra, but he is gonna take one of those cure moderate wounds potions he got from piffy. thx piffy you're a gem. so that'll be +15 hp. ]

[David turns to cover both Alex and the Doctor. He's also incredibly grateful for these uniforms having swords to go with them, because he's already drawing and swiping at Guard #3 (attack 22, damage 3), trying to draw the attention to the giant with the sword and a nice high number of hit points.
