While most missions are assigned with a few days or weeks of leeway for preparation, naturally some situations call for a much more immediate response.  Such is the case on the night of this month's full moon, when Wynn is forced to call on Knights who are already out and about in London for whatever reasons, delivering their instructions via video message on Drakenet.    It seems that some kind of creature has been spotted in a low-income neighborhood of London, destroyed some property, and appears to have retreated into a tenement building where screams have been heard.  Wynn suspects it to be some kind of Shadow creature, and considering that it's a full moon, well--  

He advises caution, but also reminds the Knights that it is their duty to investigate the matter and decide how best to proceed - not to charge in hunting something without understanding what it is or what is motivating it.  

So together they gather, from whatever brought them into London tonight, in front of the rundown brick building, which is... for the moment... rather quiet.

[Cora is definitely unsure-facing about this because while she's happy to have managed to keep it under control, she isn't sure how long it will last.]

I don't know how long this - [Meaning her current human-ness] - is going to last. I'm not safe until the sun comes up.

[Faith spins the keys on her finger and palms them.]

Then, we should just get going. [Faith will head whichever direction everyone goes...]

And go where? [ Kate looks even less sure of this idea than Cora. ] Getting all the way back to the castle before she loses control doesn't seem likely and I don't think all stuck in a car together is where we want to be for that. We need somewhere closer and secure.

[msattentionspan]

How about anywhere that's not here where two soldiers will probably be missing their check-in, since that's always a thing that happens on TV? [You can always rely on Faith to draw life lessons from an odd episode of a police drama.]

I mean, we can stand around and discuss where to go -- waiting for their backup or helicopters or whatever to show up -- or we can go and discuss it on the way. Away from the last known location of our werewolf girl here.

[Which, by the way.] Does the girl have a name?

Cora.

[That's about all she has to contribute to the conversation at the moment, beyond trying to keep her wolf down. She doesn't know London, she doesn't know where it would be safe to hide.]

[druidisms]

We can take her to the London Headquarters. She'll be fine. [ he looks firmly at cora. YOU WILL BE FINE, CHILD. he has sympathy for her, but it's outweighed in favor of looking out for her safety and well-being. ] Come on.

[ belle nods ] They'll know what to do with her there. [ and out they go back into the street, making a beeline for that vehicle parked around the corner. no sooner have they all but reached it, then a limo comes screeching around the corner. a spot check of 15+ is enough to notice that the hood ornament is a tiny hellsing symbol. it screeches to a stop at the sidewalk beside them, the dark windows too tinted to see through. ]

[Oh yeah, Cora sees it (spot 26). And she's trying not to panic. She hangs back from the rest of the group, willing herself to remain human as much as she can (will save 20 total). If she can keep it together, maybe they'll just let them go.]

[druidisms]

[ (spot 21) gus' expression tightens. he looks to belle and frowns, before turning to faith and kate. ] Make sure no one touches her. Get her in the car and do not stop until you get to the office. [ cora is the priority, no offense, hellsing. (unsure.) he reaches over to squeeze cora's arm, muttering a spell under his breath. (resistance = +1 to all saving throws.) ] Go now.

We have a London headquarters? [ Kate's not exactly surprised, because it makes sense that they'd have a place in London, but it's clearly news to her. Someone's been neglecting their Knights research. She doesn't notice the symbol on the hood ornament, but they were already in a hurry. Into the car she goes, up in front, bow still out. Not that shooting from inside even a car of this size is easy.

She looks to Gus with some concern, and to Cora, and then back to Faith: ]

You know where we're going?

[ kate doesn't make it all the way into the armored vehicle before the window of the limo rolls down. a blonde woman glares out at them humorlessly from behind a pair of spectacles, dressed in an olive green power suit. she speaks with an icy commanding tone, recognizable as the voice that came over the hellsing guards' radio earlier. ] What do you think you're doing?

[druidisms]

Taking my drunk sister home. Teenagers, you know. [ he's so dead pan because ITS OBVIOUSLY A LIE??? none of those girls are korean. ]

[msattentionspan]

[Faith has a spot of 21 and she catches the oncoming threat, but she's not even going to give it the time of day. She knows she has to get them moving and fast. She'll glance to Kate and reply in the affirmative about knowing where they're going.]

Yeah, I got it. [She hasn't been to the HQ, but she does know where it is... vaguely. She can handle it! (aka if I need to roll for this someone will need to tell me if/when we get to that part what skill to look up other than drive...)

Faith moves to unlock the Hellsing car... yep. Just going to boldly do that with the Hellsing chick right there.]

Get in before she gets out. [Said to the group, not the entire downtown area.]

[Hearing the tone of the woman and recognizing it as the one from the radio earlier is not good for Cora however, because as much as she's trying not to panic, her wolf is going on the offensive (will save 8).

She jerks away from the woman's view as her eyes flash, trying not to start anything and just get in the van as quickly as she can. Claws are coming out as she fights back the snarl, but the car isn't that far away. If she can close herself in the back, she at least can't hurt anyone.

She's also putting herself right in the vehicle of the people who want to kill her but she wants to hurt people less. At least she's not running completely.]

[ integra's eyes narrow at both Gus' response, and Faith's boldly opening the door of the hellsing truck. ] I suggest you step away from that vehicle. [ her voice is full of firm command, the threat clear. ] Immediately.

[Yeah, nope, Cora's not having that. She's just going to keep going, commenting to Faith as she throws herself into the back.]

Whatever you do, don't let the door open.

[It's not really for their sake, it's mostly for hers, and she'll just slam the door behind her before the wolf takes over again and she's back to thrashing and clawing at things. Probably a lot of the nice Hellsing equipment being destroyed if there's any in there.

Whoops?]

We can't do that. [ AND YOU KNOW IT, HELLSING. they can't just let corapuppy run amok. besides... kate, faith and cora are so close to high tailing it out of there, he will take on hellsing single-handedly if it means they can get the fuck out. ] Your boys' mission was just a miscommunication. We've got this covered.

[masterofmonster]

[ belle hesitates by the vehicle, recognizing who these people are and also the potential dangers of pissing them off too much :x ] And that would explain why you feel the need to commandeer Hellsing equipment, given that you have apparently neglected to bring any of your own? [ her frown deepens ] Let me guess. From your slipshod handling of the 'situation', I can only infer you must be some of Wynn's.

[Faith nods at Cora's brief, but direct set of orders and she's definitely not opening the door when she starts to hear just how much is getting tossed over in the van.

Look, they're probably going to be better off just accepting the insurance claim this time... cheaper and faster than repairs.

She's just going to let Gus handle this and try to circle around to the other side of the van and get in the driver's seat. If everyone else can get inside the van without much struggle... they can just run over the blonde lady get the hell out of there.]

[druidisms]

We're just borrowing. We will return it, free of charge. [ a beat, while corapuppy claws at the inside... ] After some detailing, of course.

[ he doesn't touch the wynn part, mostly because their slipshod band of merry knights with all of no notice... sort of just kicked her guys' asses and rescued a puppy to boot. so.

there's that. ] Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to take my sister home to sleep off her wild rebellious phase. No harm, no foul.

[alsohawkeye]

[ Car full of werewolf tearing things apart, or street full of pissed off whatever-Hellsing-is soldiers. Kate does some mental weighing, and lingers outside the vehicle with Gus. Integra definitely has her curiosity, but she goes with a beatific smile to match Gus's unconvincing innocence. ]

I'm sure she'll write you a really heartfelt note of apology.

I don't think so. [ the back window rolls down, and there's a gun pointed at gus' head, held by a hellsing soldier. integra looks at the van, which is rocking against cora's freakout. ] We'll be taking the vehicle - and the werewolf.

[druidisms]

She's a child. [ so fuck you and also no. he doesn't flinch in the face if the gun. (will save 24) better him than cora or kate or faith or belle. mostly better him than cora because, you know, child. gus has a soft spot for brunettes. u lose, integra. ] She's not going with you. [ lightning crackles in his palm as he readies call lightning. anyone breathes in the direction of that puppy and he will go ben franklin on their asses. ]

She's a creature of darkness, whatever she may once have been. [ lmfaooo she got a nat 20 will save of her own. of course she did. ] Killing is in her nature. Does Wynn intend to take responsibility for the deaths she causes?

She hasn't caused any deaths. And if she does, I will take responsibility.
