On the eve of battle, an impressive array of Knights gathers in the Round Table room of the castle.  The usually cavernous room seems tightly packed with this many bodies, and places at the Table are reserved for Wynn, the Section Heads, all those who have had any hand in the Talisman mission, including New York, and Christos, but who's going to argue with him, really.  The air buzzes with a mixture of impending dread and on some fronts, excitement.  It's hard to deny that there are those in the room who have wanted to make a move on Andres for years.

Wynn waits for the appointed hour, before nodding for the doors to be sealed and calling the meeting to order.  

"Before we begin, I'd like to thank each and every one of you, many who have traveled an extensive distance at a moment's notice to join us here today.  I understand that many of you have little idea what you have agreed to, but I hope that before the end of this meeting, you will come to understand what we are doing, and why it must be done.

Andres' Isle has been held under the sway of the man who calls himself their "Prime Minister" for nearly a decade.  In these ten years, he has turned what was once an idyllic country steeped in tradition into a tightly controlled fascist nation disguised as representative of its people.  

Andres is far from the only country to fall to such a fate over the course of history, and it has never been the prerogative of this Knighthood to enforce our own personal vision of some sort of world order onto any nation.  We are protectors of justice, and our enemy has always been both that which comes from the darkest depths of Shadow, and intolerance and prejudice that stems from this world. 

But Dimitris Sarandis has proven to be an exception, an embodiment of all the ideals we stand against, who has aspired to systematize the kind of violence and hatred that threatens the welfare of countless innocents under his rule.  He has used his position to exploit Shadowkind on the island to the point of conducting torturous experiments on them, designed to help him accomplish his goal of forcibly enslaving non-humans, so that they may serve what he sees as the superior race of homo sapiens.  

As if this were not enough, Dimitris knows of our existence, and wishes to tear down our organization, understanding that we pose a threat to all he seeks to accomplish.  To this end, he has conspired against us, kidnapped members of our organization and subjected them to brutal and vile torture, and attempted to blackmail us through detaining Sir Thomas Bancroft and now Sir Samcelot, into complying with his whims - to leave his regime alone entirely, to turn over our most ancient, powerful artifact, and for me to submit to death at his hand.  

Killing Dimitris alone will not stop the system he has created, and will not help free the people of Andres.  Most citizens of the country remain innocent, terrified into compliance, or completely ignorant of what Sarandis does behind closed doors.  These people deserve our help, and the only way to do so is to show them the evil that lurks at the heart of their government, gain their support in uprooting that evil, and assist them in stabilizing their country thereafter.   

To do this, we will need to go beyond the usual parameters of our missions, with a militant, strategic push into the island designed to seize the castle, and take down Sarandis' rule."   He pauses there, letting that sink in.  "What I will not stand for is a callous attitude towards the innocents who we seek to protect on the Island, during this insurgency.  Their safety will be paramount to our operation, and as such, speed is important to what we will be accomplishing.  Dimitris expects retaliation, but he also underestimates our tactics.  As such, rather than attacking the castle with an army, you will be deployed about the Island in a number of small teams, each with an objective that will help us cut off Dimitris from contact with his supporters, secure Sir Bancroft and Sir Samcelot's safety, free those who are imprisoned, and confront Sarandis, taking the castle in the process.

Details of these individual operations not withstanding, I imagine there are some questions.  I open the floor to you to speak."

[ Mars was listening in on all of it. Keeping hold of Venus in his arms as he watched the others speaking. He really didn't have much to offer. He was here for one reason, to help and do what he could. So for now he just stays quiet and listens.]

You're certainly encouraged to express your concerns. They do not, however, alter the course of what lies before us. I had hoped Prince Marcus would be prepared to take this step, and as such have spent much time considering the very objections you have already raised.

In the end, Andres belongs to the Andresians - of which Marcus is one. What we can hope to do is root out what supporters of Dimitris we can, to provide the country, and its potential accepted ruler, with the foreknowledge to best put in place a government that will serve the people in its needs, as they see it.

The fact remains, that we march on Andres, tonight. I've taken the liberty of working with your Section Heads to divide you into teams, as I've said. If you are prepared to hear them, I will proceed to lay out the objective for each mission group.

Our primary advantage in this operation will come from taking a variety of locations at once, and driving Sarandis where we want him.

To this end, the shape of the mission will be as follows: a team led by Sir Zatara will make their way to the main power station of the city, where they will seize control of the facility. She will be assisted by Sir Rosenberg, Sir Beckett, Sir Smith, and Sir Argent, in shutting down the power lines that run to the central communications tower on the Island.

Concurrently, Sir Swan will be tasked with leading a group consisting of Sir Chamberlain, Sir Dacey, Sir Bishop, Sir Zacharov, and Sir Greyfire, to gain control of the tower, and maintain their hold on the building, while Sir Trinall, Hughes, Gatewood, and Reeves break into the system, effectively cutting off all radio and cellular contact between the palace and the rest of the Island. The only means of communication that will exist for the hours of our operation will be the Drakenet created by Sir Samcelot, which we will utilize to relay information between dispersed groups.

For now, Emma's eyes scan the room to lock on the faces of those—mostly kids—who she'll be leading on her leg of the mission. She offers a little nod as her eyes move from Faye, back up towards Wynn. ]

Just to clarify: Sir Trinall, Hughes, Gatewood, and Reeves will be coming inside of the tower with us? Or will their work be going on remotely once we uproot the system the Andresians have in place.

Oh, don't worry. I think she's proved herself more than capable of restraining herself these days. When the situation deserves it, at any rate.

Concurrently, Sir La Krail will lead Sir Francesca, Dennis, Han Solo, and Cousland to the main guardhouse for the city. It will be their job to take control of the building and armory, prevent any of the soldiers there from contacting Dimitris, and lie in wait to stop any other soldiers from retrieving arms there when the situation accelerates. They will hold position there until necessary.

Sir Hasmed will be taking Sir Dodge, Kali, Mason, Mills, and Llendo to break into the facility where it is likely the commandeered weapons of our previous Andres mission group were taken. This includes a highly explosive incendiary device, which we must prevent them from using against us, and which may prove useful in taking down the Shadowkind prison that Dimitris has constructed in the woods.

[Andrew has gone a little pale, but isn't actually sweating and hasn't made any sounds of protest (because he got a will save of 18). But jesus fucking christ, he's going to be working with the head of his sect. In the field. Where he really doesn't...do well. Fffff.]

Once communications on the island are effectively under our command, Sir Wellington will lead the assault on the Shadowkind prison base. [ he nods to the raccoon ] Rocket was held in the facility only recently, and can direct us back to its location, where Sir Drax, Logan, Young, Briggard, Winchester, and Lehane will break into the facility, free the Shadowkind within, and discover whether Sir Bancroft is being held there.

Meanwhile, Sir Carpenter will lead a squadron whose job will be to hold off any forces coming from outside the prison, while they explore the interior. They will have to protect a safe path through the woods for the rescued Shadowkind to traverse, and help deal with any of the monsters Sarandis has guarding the facility and grounds. Sir Cora Hale, Belikov, Alanna, Lannister, Mikaelson, and Harrison will assist him in this.
